Isn't Southern Elwynn Forest now known as Duskwood? Before the area was tainted by shadow, Duskwood was the southernmost part of Elwynn, with towns as Grand Hamlet (Darkshire). If so, this page should redirect to Duskwood. Unireal 17:57, 8 July 2009 (CET)

I am assuming based on your question and its placement on the Elwynn Forest page that it is not a subzone. Rolandius seems to have cited it as being from the "(Game Guide)", which I assume as meaning it was mentioned in some incarnation of the World of Warcraft Official Strategy Guide perhaps. I have the original guide. Skimming through the Elwynn Forest questing section, I do not see the term used. If it is, then it is just the southern part of Elwynn Forest. Ah! Here it is. Page 226. The guide lists two mobs that are found in the location this page describes. I assume that the location in game is just marked as "Elwynn Forest", but the mobs are different then other places with the generic zone name. That confirms the term exists. It sounds like it's just the southern part of Elwynn Forest as you surmised, rather than an area that's actually called Southern Elwynn Forest. With that in mind, I wouldn't be opposed to deleting the page. -- Dark T Zeratul (talk) 22:42, April 1, 2010 (UTC)
