Does damage from thorns reset a mob's leash while kiting or not? -Cowlinator 05:54, 24 December 2007 (UTC)

I would say not...Thorns are more or less self damage. Self meaning the mob/player that attacks you. I say this, cause if a mob were to attack you (and you had thorns on) but never attacked the mob yourself, not only would the mob not be tagged as yours, but when it dies you gain no XP nor can you loot it. Though I lack proof, I would also like to opine from my experience that Thorns doesn't reset a leash. Nor do ticks from a DOT. The "rule" of kiting is pretty much that you have to make a directly aggressive action approximately every 15 seconds, though there's a generous leeway. "Ranged or melee"

This article used to say that "the buff affects ranged and melee attackers". Nuh uh. Ranged and spellcasters are completely safe from Thorns. The editor who added that was probably thinking of Shadowguard or the like. User:JIM the Inventor ° talk ˚ contribs. 17:50, 17 June 2008 (UTC)

Flavor removed

This will still probably hurt me more than it hurts you.
