Paul Kwon FixEdit

I would suggest checking information PRIOR to making changes to the article, and not use statements of fact as a method of testing the waters. Parqual Fintalas 02:48, 25 September 2007 (UTC)

ClassEdit

I thought she was a warlock for some reason. I know I saw her drain mana from broll but that may just be the Blood Elf ability. Was anyone else under the impression she was a warlock?

Probably a reference to the racial. I was under the same impression as you, though - whenever I see a girl that looks like she came from a Larry Elmore painting, I immediately go "she's a spellcaster". --Super Bhaal (talk) 11:39, 30 October 2008 (UTC)

Affiliation Edit

She and Broll are owned by Rehgar Earthfury not the entire Horde. Zarnks 04:03, 11 November 2007 (UTC)

It still makes them affiliated to the Horde through him, as he is a Horde member according to the comic. They certainly aren't Alliance members.Baggins 04:04, 11 November 2007 (UTC)

They are affiliated with Rehgar Earthfury who is affilated with the Horde and the Crimson ring. A seemingly independant and underground organization. They aren't goverment gladiators. Zarnks 04:06, 11 November 2007 (UTC)

No one said they were "government gladiators" just that they have a connection to the Horde through Rehgar. Infact we know that Horde knew of slaves as early as his former slave, Bloodeye Redfist. Yes I agree its very strange.
In anycase it appears they have connections to the horde, but aren't members of the horde, due to being slaves. The same case is going to happen to Lo'Gosh the human as well.Baggins 04:09, 11 November 2007 (UTC)

The description says it is undeground suggesting it may be illegal but we don't know for sure. It seems to have references to goblin gladitorial matches mentioned in the rpg. Zarnks 06:59, 11 November 2007 (UTC)

He then says the contests are underground and his riches are hidden. I thinks this might be refencing the arena battlegrounds ingame Zarnks 19:27, 11 November 2007 (UTC)

From what is revealed now ingame, she doesn't consider herself Alliance (wether that be Grand Alliance or the previous older Alliance of Lordearon). She make's sure to tell you that it is "your Alliance" and calling the Horde just "The Horde". Either she still thinks of them as her people, still feels she belongs with the Horde or is neutral to either. But the your in favour of the, sugest that she isn't a member of the Alliance at all. Maybe that should be changed on her page?--Dehnus (talk) 18:30, 11 November 2008 (UTC)

According to her official trading card, there are both Alliance and Horde logos in the top corner, which technically makes her neutral. Deepred (talk) 10:42, April 17, 2010 (UTC)

She IS allied with House of Wrynn and Alliance tough not a member. That makes her "Alliance-alliged, like Ivar Bloodfang. The Blood Elves are her people even if she is not allied with them. One World of Warcraft Character's Race IS ALWAYS his/her people. The Night Elves are, after all Illidan Stormrage's people. Due to be a thief in Quel'Thalas at one time would make her "Horde (FORMERLY, PRESUMED)" Assey Westfall (talk) 23:38, July 25, 2013 (UTC)

Any Relation? Edit

Kael'thas has an advisor/bodyguard named Lord Sanguinar. I wonder if we'll ever find out if they are related.

Actually her father was revealed in Issue 3. It's Broll. (Omega2010 21:12, 23 January 2008 (UTC))

No, her father is not Broll, Broll was attempting to have a vision about his daughter and Valeera popped into his vision instead as a warning of something to come. Have you already forgotten that it' s been established Valeera's parents were killed by bandits, and that Broll already lost his daughter? Do I need to take it a step further and explain how it's impossible for a Night Elf to have a Blood Elf daughter at that age? (Emeraude 14:18, 27 January 2008 (UTC))

Reading the issue over again, it seems that Broll sees something of his real daughter in Valeera (like he sees himself as a father-figure to her). However I was confused slightly from the way the vision was presented (Broll's daughter sort of changes into Valeera). Good catch! I wonder though if there were any night elves that joined the Highborne into exile. If so then technically it would be possible for a Night Elf to have offspring who became Blood Elves. (Omega2010 23:56, 28 January 2008 (UTC))

The Highborne WERE night elves who went into exile. Over the course of ten thousand years, they became high elves, and then more recently began calling themselves blood elves. -- Dark T Zeratul 03:57, 29 January 2008 (UTC)

There is nothing at all to say that a Blood/High Elf and Night Elf could not mate however. Considering they're both descendant from the original Kaldorei Night Elves. In fact, there is absolutely no difference at all between Night and Blood/High Elves except the color of their skin. And that is only different because the Night Elves were mostly nocturnal, while the Blood Elves, seeking to disassociate themselves with the Night Elves began to "walk in the sun" so to speak in a sort of open defiance. Plus let's not forget that the Blood Elf Vereesa Windrunner successfully mated with a human, Rhonin. And a human is likely to have more biological differences with a Blood Elf than a Night Elf would, but then, there's no solid proof of that either. Wadark (talk) 22:07, 17 August 2008 (UTC)

As for Broll being related to Valeera by long descantendy...Broll himself isn't that old to have produced or be a sibling to any of the future high elves or blood elves.Gorvar (talk) 16:54, 22 July 2009 (UTC)

SetEdit

The red armor she's wearing, is it in WoW?  IconSmall HighElf Male Mr.X8 Talk Contribs 19:09, 22 November 2007 (UTC)

No, looks like random pieces of armor that may possibly be seen in WoW, cobbled together. The stuff artists portray ( like this ) is usually too hard to correctly portray in-game ( female draenei warrior's cloth armor, Grom's pants + shoulderpad ) and the designers usually have to make do with what armor there is in-game or make an entirely new one ( like Illidan and the blood elf guards ). --Super Bhaal 21:45, 22 November 2007 (UTC)

Thanks  IconSmall HighElf Male Mr.X8 Talk Contribs 22:18, 22 November 2007 (UTC)

Her armor is completely different in the game. Varian, Broll, and Valeera appear at Stormwind Harbor in the WoTLK beta. I'm not sure about adding the images but is a link okay? (Omega2010 (talk) 04:30, 31 July 2008 (UTC))

The NDA's been lifted, so go for it. -- Dark T Zeratul (talk) 08:38, 31 July 2008 (UTC)

Corrected some spelling Edit

Switched "trening" with "training" for the spelling. Thought it had to be done. It was an eye sore. -Psypho 07:42, 22 March 2008 (UTC)

Name root Edit

Wouldn't the latin word Sanguine (which itself is from the unconjugated root of Sangui-) make more sense for the root of her name, given that Sanguinary is also a derivative of said root? Flyingtoastr (talk) 21:01, 13 August 2008 (UTC)

And since sanguine simply means "blood," it ends up as a better fit than the more specific sanguinary, especially since I don't think she's been shown to be particularly bloodthirsty. -- Dark T Zeratul (talk) 03:51, 14 August 2008 (UTC)
I concur.Warthok Talk Contribs 03:58, 14 August 2008 (UTC)
I went ahead and changed it. -- Dark T Zeratul (talk) 04:48, 14 August 2008 (UTC)

Wallpaper Edit

Are you sure that blood elf on the Wallpaper is Valeera? As Valeera is allied to the Alliance and never was part of the Horde. In Contrast the wallpaper blood elf is Horde and is shown fighting an Alliance paladin. Zarnks (talk) 21:32, 15 September 2008 (UTC)

Daggers Edit

Is it possible that she is using Shard of Azzinoth? Wikirexxar (talk) 14:08, 11 January 2009 (UTC)

Nope, she is using 'Orcish Daggers' from the armory in Orgrimmar, Hall of Legends during the beginning of 'THe Burning Crusade'. Hence they could not have been from Outland. Gorvar (talk) 16:52, 22 July 2009 (UTC)

Orcs come from Outland, they could've been made there. But they are in no way the Shard of Azzinoth... Malfurion Stormrage (talk) 23:39, 18 July 2010 (CET)

Love intrest to Varian to something more important? Edit

Anybody wonder where this fallen plot point will be revisited, or has it been mentioned, and will it ahve something to do with her growing mentorship on anduin?Gorvar (talk) 16:57, 22 July 2009 (UTC)

No idea. Could be they just decided it wasn't a very good idea after all, or decided to go in a different direction. -- Dark T Zeratul (talk) 01:29, February 16, 2010 (UTC)

Felblood Edit

Please give Citations to where you got how she was a Felblood Elf. --IconSmall MalfurionIconSmall Tyrande TheKaldorei (contribstalk) 11 Nov 2013 4:16 PM UTC 16:16, November 11, 2013 (UTC)

There isn't any, as far as I can tell, so removing it from the page. Thanks for the catch Smiley Raylan13@Wikia (talk) 17:51, November 11, 2013 (UTC)
I'm pretty sure there was nothing in the comics. There was one point when she had massive withdrawal from magic, but that was about it. Tankingmage (talk) 17:56, November 11, 2013 (UTC)
