One question about editingEdit

I edited part of the .slk files in the game to improve my experience and after that when I enter a game in Battle.net, it says that the other guy left. Even when that doesn't happen it says I am disconnected. Can this be attributed to my editing the .slk files or can it just be a coincidence?
