Talk:Warlock PvP guide

The Voidwalker is completely useless for anything other than causing an interruption every 2 seconds, its sacrifice shield is pointless as it only blocks physical damage.
my quote>> This statement is false. The sacrifice shield *does* absorb magical damage as well as physical damage.

wow, according to this guide nearly every class is an incredible challenge for the warlock.
>> Warlocks are about the pet a little too much and without them, they are often toast. There's a lot of buttons to keep track of, yours and the pets. There's a DPS build where you sacrifice the pet so you're solo... but the DPS gain doesn't really offset the loss of the pet in one on one. Rei-gouki (talk) 20:32, 15 July 2008 (UTC)

Felguard.
This page could use some updating since the release of the Burning Crusade. There isn't any info on using a Felguard in PvP.

Additional Warning when fighting a hunter
If the hunter and his pet turn big and red they are a beastmaster and while the're big and red immune to all forms of CC.

CC Diminishing Return
There's little information on the diminishing returns of Fear and Seduce. Some mentions that the diminishing return shared so it doesn't matter what you use, you have 3 casts then you're out of options (10 seconds, 5 seconds, 2.5 seconds, Immune). This basically means a Forsaken (Will of the Forsaken) with a tricket is not CC-able. You're welcome to argue 2.5 sec is worth a cast but really... it's not except to run away. By my calculations, unless you have a 3k-4k normal SB (assuming 3-4 casts), you're likely to die as warriors have intercept and rogues have dash making running away difficult. The requirement of Soul Shards and a long cast (unless talented) makes it difficult to change pets for the occasion. Rei-gouki (talk) 20:32, 15 July 2008 (UTC)
Death Knights
The expansion has been out for a while, when are people going to start adding tips on how to beat a Death Knight?
Fear and Horrify
This article makes no mention of the critcal difference between the Fearing abilities and Death Coil.
Death Coil is tecnically not a Fearing ability, but a horrify ability. Even though they both cause opponents to run around like headless chickens, Blizzard specifically states that this is not the same as Fear.
What this means is that any ability that puts up resistance or negates Fear will NOT negate Death Coil's horrify ability and anyone that tries will still run around like headless chickens.
So that means Death Wish, Will of the Forsaken, Fear Ward will not stop Death Coil.
Death Coil used to be untrinkitable, because trinkets would specifically remove Fear or Polymorh.
Death Knight Ghoul
Why is it said that DK ghoul can be feared? It's not truth.
And I think making a PVP guide basing on most common builds will be great. Describing one tactics against a class and naming all the abilities that Warlock can have in different build is pointless.
