Talk:World of Warcraft on South Park
From WoWWiki
Does anyone know what classes Stan, Kyle, Cartman, and Kenny were? I know for sure that Kenny was a Hunter and Kyle was a Mage, but what about Stan and Cartman? Also anyone have a clue as to Jenkins' class? The Tribal Noob/The Logical Ranter (talk) 04:29, 15 April 2009 (UTC)
- Stan was a Human Warrior (curiously wearing a Frostwolf tabard) and Cartman was either a Dwarf Warrior or a Dwarf Paladin, unsure and will have to check footage again. Jenkins seemed like a Rogue (both in usage of daggers and in grief-happy playing style), but also had Mage abilities and the power to summon scorpions like in Warcraft I. - Cartman's a Warrior, as he has to cast Intimidating Shout and stack Sunder Armor. DacianWarlord (talk) 03:35, 30 June 2009 (UTC)
Errors
In fact, that episode had a lot of errors. Alliance players cannot kill other alliance players. Level is capped, so you can´t reach "more level than any other player", not to say, you cant reach "more level than the GMS" and kill them since GMS can toogle they level or, even if level 1, use a command to kill your character or ban your accout. You cant level by killing the same mobs, at a certain point, they worth no experience, right?. The whole episode had few to do with the actual game. Should I list these errors? Or ill be just bugging and not being helpful? Sorry, but it kinda bothers me that, in adversiments and World of Warcraft publicity (like this episode) they portray WoW as a game with much more possibilities and features than the game actually has (night elf mohawk is now "somewhat" possible, however, it wasnt when that ad aired, for example) Dr.M.Ginius (talk) 12:51, 15 July 2009 (UTC)
- I think it would be very interesting to list the errors, I think you can do it. Also remember to sign your posts with four tildes (~~ ~~) Benitoperezgaldos (talk) 23:39, 14 July 2009 (UTC)
- Ill do it, then. And sorry for the signature thing, is now fixed.Dr.M.Ginius (talk) 12:52, 15 July 2009 (UTC)
- I really dont want to start a discussion. If you don´t want the errors/jokes/ listed, delete them, I wont complain. Is just a small trivial thing. Dr.M.Ginius (talk) 02:34, 16 July 2009 (UTC)
- Actually you've done a great job :)
- I don't see a reason to delete the list, it's interesting and doesn't hurt anyone. Benitoperezgaldos (talk) 02:43, 16 July 2009 (UTC)
- Yes, but they are supossedly playing the real game, and it was portrayed more like "how people think wow is"... Dr.M.Ginius (talk) 18:40, 17 July 2009 (UTC)
- Yes it's probably what Dr.M.Ginius said and also I think it was to make the WoW fans laugh. Benitoperezgaldos (talk) 19:36, 17 July 2009 (UTC)
- We can simply change the title from "errors made in the episode" to something else like "differences with World of Warcraft". I´ll do so, if you find a better title, feel free to change it Dr.M.Ginius (talk) 10:43, 18 July 2009 (UTC)
