Great job - I so enjoyed reading the character biographies, please elaborate on the others! Especially the dwarf and the gnome were humorous and happy-minded - and those things I like! Keep it up!! :) [[User:Lovykar|Lovykar]] 15:32, 4 July 2007 (UTC)

Hi, i just joined wowpedia because i am very interested in the W.O.W lore. I dont really know how to do some things such as create a new article or page. Thanks. --[[User:Akrithel|Akrithel]] ([[User talk:Akrithel|talk]]) 18:26, 4 November 2010 (UTC)

:Hmm, well I answered your question about making a new article on your other forum topic --> [[Forum:New Article?]]. As for creating [[expansion ideas]], following the method of creating a new article, except with your user name used as well. <code><nowiki>http://www.wowpedia.org/User:Akrithel/</nowiki></code>. Looking better and better! You don't need to put so many links on the pages though - it's best just to link the first mention of a article (e.g. [[Stormwind]]) and then leave all the following mentions unlinked, otherwise it just makes the article harder to read. :) -- [[User:Kirkburn|Kirkburn]] 08:57, 13 July 2006 (EDT)

Aletto here. Sorry for the quiet weeks, I had finals for my summer term and I sorta lost interest in WoW for a couple of weeks. However, don't be worried. I'm back and I'm working on the Guide to Ironforge. -- [[User:Aletto|Aletto]] 13:19, 4 August 2006

I only put the fanfic/fanwork tag on it since in the article it specifically says its a "fanwork" and not necessarily information which comes directly from Blizzard themselves. The author also came up with some explanations and history for places that aren't made by Blizzard either, ex. parts of the Deeprun Tram section of the fan guide.[[User:Baggins|Baggins]] 11:27, 16 August 2006 (EDT)

:I don't know if this is properly {{t|fanfic}}, since eveything in it seems to be correct to in-game and out of game lore as far as I can tell. Perhaps more the spoiler tag, since it tells more than maybe some people want to know. I'm considering removing the fanfic banner, unless someone points out something specifically misleading or counter-lore. --[[User:Fandyllic|<span style="border-bottom:1px dotted; cursor:help;" title="Fandyllic is a WoWWiki Admin">Fandyllic</span>]] <small>([[User talk:Fandyllic|talk]])</small> 2:11 PM PST 6 Nov 2006

::Nothing in my writings is flat-out conjecture. Merely, I take what I see in the game and "convert" it into a guide. None of this is meant to be official area lore. If it was, I'd have placed it on the main page of the area I'm discussing. Rather, I'm translating what we're experiencing in-game into a lore-like overview of the area. Blizzard obviously has not paid much attention to explaining how the Deeprun Tram works, for example, but in this guide I take into the account the existance of all these adventurers riding it that are obviously not concerned with investigating how it works. If this bothers the admins, I don't really mind the Fanfiction tag too much, but if it's possible to take it off, I would be honored. I may give myself a little breathing room to add flavor to the articles, but I strive to avoid major contradictions. I'd say it's impossible to go into a heated Lorecraft argument armed with my guide and come out embarassed - it's all true! --[[User:Aletto|Aletto]] 11:22, 8 November 2006 (EST)

::: Since it's already under Aletto's namespace, I don't think it really needs to keep the {{t|fanfic}} tag, especially when it's not really fan fiction. As to the spoiler tag, I'm not sure - for this page especially it would seem reasonable to expect someone to realise they're gonna find out stuff on a full zone guide :P -- [[User:Kirkburn|<span style="border-bottom:1px dotted; cursor:help;" title="Kirkburn is a WoWWiki Admin">Kirkburn</span>]] <small>([[User talk:Kirkburn|talk]])</small> 11:39, 8 November 2006 (EST)

[[WP:PA]] sets out criteria for a page being located under a user's page, and the criteria include receiving credit for the work and determining the extent to which others can contribute. Pages in the main namespace of a wiki are anonymous collaborations which are freely editable by anyone, and as such are not tagged with any one author's name, nor does any one author get to set out the extent to which others can edit it. Rather than strip this page of its credit and editing guidelines, I'm moving it back to under Aletto's user page.--[[User:Aeleas|Aeleas]] 11:30, 22 November 2006 (EST)

I don't know if this is properly {{fanfic}}, since eveything in it seems to be correct to in-game and out of game lore as far as I can tell. Nothing in my writings is flat-out conjecture. --Aletto 11:22, 8 November 2006 (EST)
Since it's already under Aletto's namespace, I don't think it really needs to keep the {{fanfic}} tag, especially when it's not really fan fiction.
