Please note that the faction, name, level, screenshot, and caption fields all pertain to the World of Warcraft MMORPG, while the fields that appear below the caption are estimates that come directly from official sources of lore and should not be used for speculation. Specifically, this information comes from the Lands of Mystery, Lands of Conflict, Dungeons & Dragons Warcraft The Roleplaying Game, and World of Warcraft The Roleplaying Game source books from the RPG and other published sources (individual citations required).

Valid field entries
  • faction: Alliance, Horde, or Neutral based on the MMORPG only (default Neutral)
  • name: zone name (default PAGENAME).
  • level: ideal levels for the zone according to Blizzard
  • ss: ideal picture of zone [optional]
  • caption: screenshot caption [optional]
  • capital: capital of zone with population in parenthesis [optional]
  • type: the type of area. For use with non-zones. Examples: City, Village
  • pop: total population of the zone
  • race or races: races within the zone. Population breakdown for each race in parenthesis [optional]. Please use the following separated by line breaks (<br />):

  • affiliation: the affiliation of the zone, from official lore sources [optional]
  • loc: location of zone, or if not known then the general area of zone in relation to the rest of the continent
