Player-character link Template Edit

This template shows the name of a player character along with the race and class and a link to the character's page at The Armory. It is meant to be used inline; it does not need to be on a separate line to work properly.

Parameter Descriptions Edit

Note: when using this template, do not include any square brackets like [[these]]. When links are needed, the square brackets are inserted automatically by this template.

Name Edit

The name of the player character exactly as it appears in game.

• Example: Petrov

Realm Edit

The name of the realm the player character is on, without the region suffix. Spaces must be replaced with either + (plus sign) or %20. A plus sign is preferred. This is necessary to construct the link to The Armory.

• Example: Blade's+Edge or Blade's%20Edge

Server Edit

The location of the wiki page for the server the player character is on, without the double square brackets required for linking. Since player character pages on WoWWiki are located at [[Server:<server name>_<region suffix>/<player name>]], this is necessary to produce an internal link to the character's page. By omitting this parameter, you can inhibit linking thereby avoiding a red link if the character has no such WoWWiki page.

• Example: Server:Blade's_Edge_US

Class Edit

The name of the class of the player character. A link will be generated if this parameter is included, so it is important to match the name of the class' page. It is not recommended to omit both the class and race, but omitting one or the other should display fine.

• Example: Warrior

Race Edit

The name of the race of the player character. A link will be generated if this parameter is included, so it is important to match the name of the race's page. It is not recommended to omit both the class and race, but omitting one or the other should display fine.
