It was just a code proposal, so the examples weren't needed at the time, nor did i care enough to write them. Added one now. It's not a replacement to {{cost}} though, it's designed to be used inside it for formatting of it's defaults and also replace the custom currency functionality of it. See Template talk:Cost#Should be split for further explanation. --

This template doesn't work very well. I tried using for honor points and it seems to use some reduced size/quality image (16px-Neutral_15.gif) which doesn't have a transparent background. That's not useful. Tbannister 15:13, 2 April 2008 (UTC)

This template works perfectly. If there was no transparency, then you used an image that doesn't have it. Your fault. sizes were reduced to 16px by default, this was agrred upon. If you don't like it, you can provide your own size anyway, but i don't see why you would need to. --
