Why include 'categories' with the 'classic gems'? There currently is no connection between "cut gems" and "legacy gems"... I have a hard time imagining someone being interested in the cut gems categories from a classic gems page. --Eirik Ratcatcher (talk) 19:49, 28 August 2009 (UTC)

The template isn't just for cut gems, it's a general template to replace {{gems}} and {{minerals}}. So for example, you could use {{Gems/dev|<classic>}} at the bottom of the Lesser Moonstone page, instead of {{minerals}}.

The organization is such that, gems that are used in similar patterns and prospecting from similar ore are grouped together. If you level JC as you level a character, this makes a lot of sense. And if you power level, you probably don't care anyways because you're just going through a laundry list of patterns.  Howbizr^(t·c) 2:13 PM, 29 Aug 2009 (EDT)
