Template talk:Move

From WoWWiki

Default

This template is limited in usage in that a proposed name must be added to the parameter. This template does not suggest that an article or section be moved, rather it suggests that and article or section be moved to one possible option. While the necessary related discussion could spawn other names, it could be counterproductive if the first thing someone thinks is "No move at all because I do not like this new name". If the content of the page is good, but the current name is insufficient or 'out there', the page may be deleted anyway. I propose that if a page should be moved, but the parameter slot is left blank because a new name was not thought of or agreed upon, it should default to 'something', 'another name', 'anything else' or 'something else'. I doubt this will be abused, because if the template is added with little thought and left blank, there will likely be no discussion at all and it will not be taken seriously.--SWM2448 22:10, 3 December 2008 (UTC)

There could be added more variables (for example "to X or Y"), or if left blank it should be shown as "something" else and the person who addet the template will leave a message on the talk page. gOurra[T҂C] 23:35, 4 December 2008 (UTC)
Update: I did not forget about this. Rather, {{Bettername}} came to fill the niche I was trying to create, so I did not put further effort into the project.--SWM2448 19:39, 28 May 2009 (UTC)
