The Etymidian is a sentient weapon made by the titans to watch over both the Sholazar Basin and (apparently) Un'Goro Crater[1]. He is powerful enough to destroy over 200 Scourge soldiers during the quest 
[78] Reclamation.
Avatar of Freya orders you to use it to decimate the undead invasion to Sholazar.
Note: He has the "stone keeper" model which is shared with some of the stone guardians and stone watchers.
