The Battle of Fortress Shadowmoon was a battle between the Horde of Draenor and the Alliance Expedition. The Alliance Expedition attacked the very capital of the Shadowmoon Clan in order to obtain the Book of Medivh. During the battle, Teron Gorefiend and a cadre of Death Knights under his command were killed and their unholy altar destroyed.
