Island of Doctor Lapidis

Island of Doctor Lapidis is an island in the South Sea off the coast of Stranglethorn Vale. It is north of Gillijim's Isle. It is a Jungle troll^[1] island that is currently not in World of Warcraft. But it appears on the World of Warcraft World Map released in 2006. It also appears in the intro cinematic for World of Warcraft. It also appears in several maps throughout the Warcraft RPG, for example Monster Guide Web Supplement, 2007.

The island existed during the WoW alpha - however, it no longer exists in-game (beyond the appearance in the intro cinematic).

This is one of the islands that were southwest of Stranglethorn Vale, the other being Gillijim's Isle. There is however an item named after the island called Lapidis Tankard of Tidesippe.
