Trivia
At the time when Burning Crusade was released, the Kurken was tameable, but this was soon fixed. In the "Echoes of Doom" patch, the Kurken was made tamable once again, this time as a member of the "core hound" exotic pet family.

Due to its identical appearance and close proximity (being in Northern Kalimdor), it is possible that The Kurken is related to the demigod Omen in some way. Though, it is possible they simply share the same model.
