Scepter of Celebras was once used as a key item, enabling the player to access a portal to the midway point of the Maraudon instance. The "Use" tooltip read: "Creates a portal, teleporting group members that use it to Earth Song Falls in inner Maraudon."

This item is a quest reward from  [49D] The Scepter of Celebras.

Use

You could only use this item at the location of the first khan in the Maraudon pre-instance area.

Patch changes

• Patch 3.3.0 (PTR): Since this item is no longer needed as a key, Celebras will no longer give one out to a player who loses it. The item can now be sold or disenchanted as normal.
  
• Patch 3.0.8 (2009-01-20): Changed to an equipable weapon and no longer needed as a portal key for Maraudon.
