The Temple of the Moon is the dwelling of the Sisters of Elune, and the center of all Night Elf spiritual life. It is said that Elune Herself resides here in spirit.
Though every Night Elf religious building is technically a "Temple of the Moon" (the building now known as the Tomb of Sargeras was once a Temple of the Moon) the term now refers almost exclusively to the temple in Darnassus.
Tyrande Whisperwind, the religious leader of the Night Elves can be found on the second level.
The Temple of the Moon received new music in patch 2.3. The music inside now sounds more "celestial".
