The noble family of Vernal was a very rich family of nobles from Lordaeron who had an important standing in King Terenas Menethil's Royal Councile. The family owned a small part of the land nowdays known as the Plaguelands, as well as having their own quarters in the Capital City itself. When the Undead Scourge invaded the kingdom few of the nobles have decided to form a pact with the Lich King in order to survive the invasion, the only known members of the family who formed a pact with the Lich King through the Necromancer Kel'Thuzad are Ruredon, and the parents of Tzuriel Vernal, the only member of the family who is alive and remained loyal to the Alliance, Tzuriel also killed Ruredon in combat for betraying his nation.
