The Tirisfal Glades were the landing place of the Highborne (later high elves) led by Dath'Remar Sunstrider after the night elves exiled them from Kalimdor. To the west of Tirisfal Glades is a large grove encompassed by mountains that cannot currently be accessed. It is therefore assumed that this was the landing point that history speaks of.[2]
According to The Founding of Quel'Thalas:
His fleet finally landed on the beaches of the kingdom men would later call Lordaeron. Forging inland, the high elves founded a settlement within the tranquil Tirisfal Glades. After a few years, many of them began to go mad. It was theorized that something evil slept beneath that particular part of the world, but the rumors were never proven to be true. The high elves packed up their encampment and moved northward towards another land rich with ley energies.
If this grove is where the Highborne first created a settlement, it is possible there is some dark, twisted force contained beneath the earth there. Of the sinister beings that are currently known, it seems that an Old God, or perhaps a lieutenant thereof, may be chained deep in the grove, in the same style as Myzrael.
Due to the ambiguity surrounding the number of remaining Old Gods, left over and imprisoned from their battle with the Titans, it is hard to discern if it could truly be one of them. Accoding to some sources, three of the original five are said to be imprisoned within the depths of the world.
The Chamber of Krasus

Krasus, a Red dragon, one of the six members of the Kirin Tor, resided in an elvish sanctum that was located in a secluded grove. It is possible that this is the same grove in Tirisfal, where the Council of Tirisfal was said to meet. In Day of the Dragon, Krasus sensed "powers" lingering below even the deepest of the chambers, where a pool of strange water existed with a golden gemstone sat in the bottom.
He would rarely drink from the pool to restore his strength, but oddly, the pool would reject all forms of cups and containers and thus, Krasus had to resort using his hands. When he stared into the pool, he saw odd shapes, which were at times "silvery fish," and at others still, a human torso, legs, or arms.
Due to the elvish nature of the structure, it is possible that Dath'Remar Sunstrider built it, and at this pool deep within could be a so-far unheard of Sunwell. The high elves may have abandoned this and simply struck it from widely recorded history, so as to forget the disturbing events that occurred during their time there. As a note, however, this is not recorded in any form of lore and is pure speculation. Regardless, the pool, the citadel, and the grove are of a mysterious nature, and the questions of what it truly is, what is it for, and who made it, still remain to be concretely answered.
