Torment the Weak is a Mage talent in the Arcane tree. It increases damage dealt by key Mage spells to targets under snare effects such as chills (like that of Frostbolt and Cone of Cold) and the spell Slow.

Tips and tactics
This talent has great value for both Arcane and Frost in PvP. Fine-tuned Frost PvP builds sink 20 points in Arcane to pick up this, Improved Counterspell and Magic Absorption. It greatly increases the burst provided by Arcane Barrage and Frostbolt, the builds' main spells.
Tank Synergy
All tanking classes got some ability or talent that trigger Torment The Weak. For warriors it is Thunder Clap, for paladins it is Judgements of the Just, for Druids it is Infected Wounds and for death knights Icy Touch.
Patch changes
- Patch 3.0.8 (2009-01-20): Now works with Arcane Blast and does bonus damage against targets afflicted with any type of slow (such as the combat slow from Thunder Clap).
- Patch 3.0.3 (2008-11-04): Now works correctly when the Mage also knows the Molten Fury Talent.
- Patch 3.0.2 (2008-10-14): Added.
