This page is about lore. For strategy to fight the World of Warcraft encounter in Naxxramas, see Four Horsemen.

Sir Zeliek is an Undead Paladin forced into servitude by The Lich King as a Death Knight. His faith is so strong that he is still capable of calling upon the Holy Light even in Undeath. Sir Zeliek is located in Naxxramas. He is killable in the Four Horsemen encounter. Unlike the other four Death Knights, Sir Zeliek uses no Death Knight abilities and still holds to his Paladin ideals.

It seems as though Sir Zeliek managed to retain his sanity despite Kel'Thuzad's corruption, but still his body obeys the Lich King's lieutenant. This could be seen as a mark of great spirituality and mental strength on the part of the paladin. It can be said that he is a "Death Knight" in name only.

Based on his white color scheme and the wings on his helmet (signifying victory), Sir Zeliek is most likely based on the first Rider of the Apocalypse, the White Rider of Conquest.

Questionmark-medium
This article or section includes speculation, observations or opinions possibly supported by lore or by Blizzard officials. It should not be taken as representing official lore.

A Paladin Code of conduct specifically states that if a Paladin ever willingly commits an evil act, he or she should lose all Light-based abilites. This may explain why Zeliek still wields the Light or could still be considered a Paladin, since technically, everything he does is against his will.

Wrath of the Lich King

Wrath-Logo-Small This section concerns content related to Wrath of the Lich King.

Sir Zeliek survived his encounter in the first siege against Naxxramas in the Eastern Plaguelands, and returns as one of the Four Horsemen in the newly relocated necropolis, floating above the Dragonblight. According to Commander Eligor Dawnbringer's lecture in Wintergarde Keep, Zeliek is, "so strong in his faith, that even in undeath, the power of the light still heeds his call, smiting his foes in battle."

Attacks and abilities
