Transmute

Transmutation is a sub-skill of Alchemy. It is highly valued since it allows the transmutation of some metals into more valuable ones, and transmutation of some elemental items into harder to find ones.

Formulas

All transmutations are on a shared cooldown of 20 hours, except Transmute: Arcanite, Transmute: Elemental Fire, Transmute: Primal Might, and Meta Gem transmutes, which have no cooldown. All transmutations require the alchemist to have a [Philosopher's Stone] or any of the variants of the [Alchemist's Stone] equipped or in his inventory.

225 Alchemy

• Transmute: Iron to Gold purchased from Alchemist Pestlezugg
• Transmute: Mithril to Truesilver purchased from Alchemist Pestlezugg

275 Alchemy

• Transmute: Arcanite (no cooldown) purchased from Alchemist Pestlezugg

Primal transmutes work mostly the same as Essence transmutes.

Transmutation Master

"Allows an Alchemist to sometimes get greater results when transmuting materials" - When specialized as a Transmutation Master, there is a random chance that you create more than one item when transmuting. It's possible to get up to 5 items in a single process.

It should be noted that there was an issue between Patch 2.3 and Patch 2.3.2 with Transmutation Mastery.
