I've completely reworked the patterns table(s), and expanded them to include all the recipes that I can find reference to (including two dubious ones, listed at the end). The previous table only listed up to a skill of ~190, so it's now rather enormous in comparison, but at least comprehensive. I've split the table up by mastery level. Required skill level, and skill-up colours were updated and all moved to the one column for space/reading efficiency. Reputation/specialization requirements and restrictions of other kinds (factional, seasonal) are all included in a new column, which I think makes good sense. Update: now converted the tables to use AJAX code which not only loads them as collapsed, but also avoids the download of any of their contained data until they're clicked on. As part of this, patterns were divided up by mastery level and given their own pages that are effectively transcluded back into this one. This means (i) the page loads much faster and helps reduce the effects of server issues, (ii) users who are only interested in a particular range of patterns won't be spammed with everything, but also (iii) still allows users to view all tables at once if they so wish. I decided to start a shaman alt and went to look at all the low level leather recipes available only to discover that many of them have been changed in one patch or another. For example the spirit on the fine leather items has been replaced with spell power and several of the embossed items have been made uncommon with stats added. Armour values have also been changed on some items. I think i have fixed up the apprentice items but there are a lot to go through and cross reference to make sure they are up to date. I will be working through the journeyman recipes next when i have free time but help would be appreciated. I am using Wowhead as a reference, i think their data is pulled directly from the game.

If you guys honestly believe that they should be excluded simply because they have an item level requirement, then so be it. But I think that they should be on there since they have the lowest required level of all the enchants that actually work on the shoulders, and are darned effective, too. Also, if they are to be left off because they have a required level, a strong argument can be made that no scopes should be listed either. From what I can see, argent dawn has some "worthless" ones that give resists at level ~50, and Zandalar gives spell power or attack power at 55. The Inscription ones cannot be used till 65 and the PVP ones cant be used till 70. I found that none of the Aldor/Scryer/Hodir enchants seem to be able to be applied. I also found that zandalar does work, as mine are less than a week old, and no patches have come out recently. My reccomedation for anyone who wants to optamize their enchant - Go zandalar, and if the character being leveled is an inscriptionist, they put their enchant on it once they can. I was wondering why certain items seem to be missing a usable class and others have strange level restrictions on their usefulness.

The Preened Ironfeather Breastplate oddly suggests it is only usable by Druids, while the non-spell leather chest lists 5 other classes as recieving some benefit from it, although in varying degrees. Shouldn't Preened Ironfeather Breastplate have (Shaman)and possibly even [Paladin] listed on it as well? Both classes benefit from Spirit and Spell Power (depending on spec) and I see no reason why this wouldn't be of some use to them, particularly Shaman.

I am also confused by the level ranges placed on some of the weapons. Why can Warriors only use a 1H between lvl (20-59), and the same with 2H for Shaman having the (1-40). Also, why are Shaman not even listed for possible users of Daggers and Staves? There may be something I am missing there, but found it curious.

I believe the level indicators for warriors are due to the possibility at level 60 of dual-wielding two-handed weapons (thus making 1h weapons obsolete, in a sense), but I don't know for sure and haven't found out. Likewise for (some) shamans who can dual wield after 40 and won't find a 2H weapon as useful. To clear this up you would need to display that using this inscription will make it completely soulbound and unable to be transferred/used between characters normally able to use heirlooms. Class usages on items

I was wondering why certain items seem to be missing a usable class and others have strange level restrictions on their usefulness.

The Preened Ironfeather Breastplate oddly suggests it is only usable by Druids, while the non-spell leather chest lists 5 other classes as recieving some benefit from it, although in varying degrees. Shouldn't Preened Ironfeather Breastplate have (Shaman)and possibly even [Paladin] listed on it as well? Both classes benefit from Spirit and Spell Power (depending on spec) and I see no reason why this wouldn't be of some use to them, particularly Shaman.

I am also confused by the level ranges placed on some of the weapons. Why can Warriors only use a 1H between lvl (20-59), and the same with 2H for Shaman having the (1-40). Also, why are Shaman not even listed for possible users of Daggers and Staves? There may be something I am missing there, but found it curious.

Likely no one realized the above uses you suggest. You can add them. I believe the level indicators for warriors are due to the possibility at level 60 of dual-wielding two-handed weapons (thus making 1h weapons obsolete, in a sense), but I don't know for sure and haven't found out. Likewise for (some) shamans who can dual wield after 40 and won't find a 2H weapon as useful. Again, I don't know whether that's really true. -- Harveydrone 21:09, February 12, 2010 (UTC)

Inscription Shoulder Enchants

I have read multiple sources that claim that inscription shoulder enchants "will work on Heirlooms shoulders at any level", yet have also read "it does not work unless you have inscription with 400 skill". If both of these are true, then the statement should be (at the very least) that Inscription Shoulder enchants have a hidden level requirement of 65. You can put an inscription's shoulder enchant on an item of any level; however, if you put that enchant on a heirloom and give it to a brand new character, the tooltip for that item will indicate that "Enchantment Requires Inscription (400)". Efernandez 98 (talk) 04:20, May 1, 2010 (UTC)

Greater Inscription of the Gladiator

Hey, I removed that item from the list, User:Un1t3D added it again. I might have a case myopia going, but if I look at that item (on Alliance side at Quartermaster Biggins in Stormwind), the description says "...causes it to become soulbound". Is that a bug I am falling for? Should I add a screenshot? To clear this up Tierlieb (talk) 13:36, May 1, 2010 (UTC)

I believe that several enchantments will claim that they soulbound the item, but wont if it is a heirloom item. To clear this up you would need to display that using this inscription will make it completely soulbound and unable to be transferred/used between characters normally able to use heirlooms. Verified that items with shoulder enchants that 'cause an item to become soulbound' do not cause heirlooms to bind to just one character - I tested it with [Master's Inscription of the Axe] but it should work with any of the shoulder enchants by logical extension. Heirloom vs. BoA

This page lists every single item in the game that is Bind on Account; as far as I know, heirlooms are specifically only the equipment that scales with character level. Otherwise there's no point in having separate Heirloom and Bind on Account pages. -- Dark T Zeratul (talk) 17:36, June 24, 2010 (UTC)

Justice Point Pricing?

Level Cap

There is no mention in the page that certain Heirloom items will stop working at level 80.

Further, 'stop working' doesn't seem to be well defined. Does that mean the stats stop improving, that the experience bonus is disabled, that the entire item ceases to provide benefit to the player or some combination thereof? Ryeann (talk) 20:49, 13 March 2011 (UTC)

Name color change
