Tymora Nightmane is a very unusual Night Elf and a member of The Boomstick Gang, a group which is almost entirely composed of Dwarves and Gnomes. She is not considered very attractive by Night Elf standards: her face is free of any markings, her hair and skin are unusually pale, and her weak eyes are almost constantly hidden by goggles (yes, she is an Engineering Engineer, even more bizarre for a Night Elf) both to correct her vision (she's nearly blind without them) and to conceal the fact that they do not glow. These physical traits have roused some suspicion that Tymora may have some mixed Blood Elf heritage, and have also caused her to be ostracized in Darnassus from a young age. Nevertheless, she is much-loved by the Gang, affectionately referred to as "the old shade-tree." She is the exception rather than the rule, as the Boomsticks normally dislike Night Elves over all of the other Alliance Races. Of course, Tymora isn't exactly the norm either: she herself deeply dislikes the Night Elves and is openly hostile toward them.

Tymora has long resided in Stormwind City . She is quiet and collected, but does posess a quick-witted sense of often black humor that she enjoys utilizing. Aside from her beloved Boomstick Gang (they've had time to work at her), she is quite aloof, disliking being in crowded social gatherings and extended interaction with others. An exception is that she is seldom without two companions: her custom self-made Mechanical Squirrel, Serkit, and her "smartassed, worthless, fleabag-of-a-Nightsaber", Flynn.

Tymora's background is extremely complex, and only known by a few. Although she left Darnassus at a young age, it seems that more recent events (but before her joining of the Boomstick Gang] have left her banished from Darnassus and with a sympathy for the Horde -with the notable exception of her seering hatred for the Forsaken Undead. She views the ongoing battle between the Horde and Alliance with contempt, seeing it as meaningless, and will not raise a blade against the Horde, even in her own defense. Of course, an exception is made for the Forsaken...

Tymora continues to live in Stormwind. However, she has been seen quite scarcely, and is indeed in hiding. She has informed her guildmates that she is being persecuted by a young Troll Huntress by the name of Mekiv Raptorbane. However, curiously, she has left The Boomstick Gang with strict instructions to do her no harm...
