The Unfired Ancient Blade was provided when starting the quest  [60] The Forging of Quel'Serrar (2) which starts with  Lorekeeper Lydros in Dire Maul.

Notes Edit

• When you right click on this weapon, it will plant the weapon into the ground. If you do this anywhere but in Onyxia's Lair, the sword will become useless. You will need to abandon the quest and start over.
• When  Onyxia breathes fire, it will heat the blade into the [Heated Ancient Blade]. The blade will remain heated for 20 minutes.
