Unwaking is the term used when someone or something in the Emerald Dream is affected by the Nightmare. It means that they are trapped in the Emerald Dream and their bodies are forced into a permanent sleep; they die of starvation unless carefully aided.^[1]

Currently, Malfurion Stormrage appears to be an Unwaking as he is trapped in the Emerald Dream by the effect of the Nightmare,^[2] as is Naralex in the Wailing Caverns.^[3]
