The Illidari special forces compromise of members of many races that serve in the Illidari that have shown exemplary power and skill. The special forces consist of primarily:

• Illidari Archon
• Illidari Assassin
• Illidari Battle-mage
• Illidari Blood Lord

That serve in groups of 4-10, with redundant members. Despite that the Special Forces consist mostly of Blood Elves, any member of the Illidari can be part of the special forces. There are currently 46 Blood Elves, 21 Fel Orcs (Rogues and warriors mostly), 4 Satyrs, 6 Naga, and 1 Draenei that answer directly to Lord Gathios.

The Illidari Special Forces are typically deployed for quick strike or for preemptive attack, traveling as a fast and mobile unit to scout the way ahead. Sometimes individual members may be deployed for specific missions ranging from ambassadors or assassins to teachers or trainers.

The Illidari Special Forces are led by Commander Elanor Sunseeker, an Illidari Bloodlord of particular strength who leads an elite group of all female members.

For a time being Radinius was in charge of the special forces, he has since transferred control to Commander Sunseeker, as he feels that she has more experience and is better fit to do so.
