The story of Chronalis is quite a simple one, but at the same time, contains many twists.
The charater was originally made during an unplanned server downtime. The vast majority of realms were offline. Yet one remained; Hellfire. As you can imagine, along with the regular players of this "TBC Launched" realm, there were thousands of other players eagerly trying to create characters there. I had an Undead Warlock on the realm, level 43 at the time. He was my main, as i'd only been playing for around 6 or so weeks.
Upon creating the character, and finally logging in, i was surrounded by wave upon wave of fellow Blood Elves, all level 1, or at most, level 3. There was a lot of yelling and chatting going on around me, many asking where their realm had gone. It was at this point, that the story of Chronalis begun.
As i levelled through the first few quests, i slowly realise just how much fun i could have with the class. I was there, in the face of NPC's, taking the hits, and putting out quite modest damage for a level 1 character. My Warlock was quite the opposite; Squishy, ranged, and an aggro magnet in every sense.
At one point, someone came over to me, and traded me a few items of Armor. Little did i know, that this would be what ultimately made me continue the character. Yes, one single nice gesture led me to keep playing the character.
As time went by, and my level went up, i chose the path i wanted. That path, much to my later "disappointment", was tanking. I'd loved tanking at lower levels, and the people i grouped with said that i did show some promise of becoming a good tank.
I remember hitting level 70. The location was Shadowmoon Valley, just outside Wildhammer Stronghold. I needed a very small amount of XP to level. The mob. One mob killed, and that was it. *Ding*, level 70. At this point, there was a lot of paths to choose between; PvP, PvE, or questing for gold, and exploring the world.
It was a few weeks before i chose completely. After all, i'd got no raiding experience, and had quite a large amount of PvP experience (This was before patch 2.3, and the AV nerf). As my guildmates slowly left the guild for raiding guilds, i too chose this path.
I wish not to mention the name, but, I left the guild, and my friends behind for a chance at raiding. Much to my surprise, the guild had invited me (on the promise that i'd be allowed to raid), yet 4 weeks later, not a single raid. At this point, i brought it up with the guild, and was promptly thrown into a Karazhan group, but it was as though i had done something really wrong, the way people talked to me after that. I couldn't stand it, and so, i moved on. I moved onto one of the top guilds on the realm. Unfortunately, my little raiding experience meant i didn't know how to approach it. I didn't know about the sign up system back then, and as such, i was only brought in for a few raids. They kicked me out of the guild, and rightly so. It was me at fault, and that i regret.
At this point, i was left with few choices. I couldn't stand pugging Void Reaver for the rest of my days.
This is when i spent a few months between friends i'd made on the realm raiding Karazhan. I had Tier 5 Tanking Armor, and as such, i was able to get the other players geared up without much issue.
However, it didn't last long. I couldn't stand not being able to express my true ability. It was in February 2008 that i migrated over to the realm of Ghostlands, and continued my journey from there.
Not much happened, except i successfully vanquished both Illidan Stormrage at the Black Temple, and Kil'Jaedan at the Sunwell. I recently looted the Swift Zulian Tiger, and even more recently, Completed the quest to obtain Thunderfury.
