Physical DescriptionEdit

Age: Young Adult

Height: 7'8

Weight: 213

Due to his early upbringing by an Orcish tribe, Zalistuur’s appearance displays a Draenei fully committed to life in the wild. The keeping of his long blue hair was a custom practiced by his adopted nomadic Orcish tribe. Though tall and intimidating, Zalistuur is quiet by nature and prefers the peaceful tranquility which only nature and solitude can provide. During his travels in the wild, Zalistuur remains in Ghost Wolf form since his light complexion makes him standout and thus more susceptible to predator attacks. Though he prefers solitude over the company of others, Zalistuur quickly aids those in need, Alliance and Horde alike. Due to this lack of prejudice to all races, he has been called “Zalistuur the Tolerant” by fellow Draenei.

IntroductionEdit

Zalistuur, orphaned after his parents were killed by an Elekk stampede, was raised by an Orcish tribe in Nagrand. Taught the elementary aspects of Shamanism, Zalistuur soon found himself fleeing for his life after the coming of the Burning Legion and their corruption of the Orcs. Zalistuur traveled far in the hopes to remain hidden from this mysterious threat. He soon reached the ruins of Shattrath in Terokkar Forest, scattered with the bodies of his kind. In an effort to find his own people, Zalistuur scouted the regions of Terokkar and Nagrand, always remaining in the mountains to avoid detection.

During his exploration of Zangarmarsh, he came upon the Draenei outpost of Telredor. While his shamanistic practices were viewed with hostility by his fellow Draenei, it brought him to attention of Farseer Nobundo. Nobundo aided Zalistuur to better understand the capabilities of Shamanism and he soon became a formidable student of this new Draenei practice.

Zalistuur accompanied Nobundo, along with Velen and other Draenei, in their raid to retake the Exodar. Surviving the crash on the Azuremyst Isles, Zalistuur now has to learn to survive in this alien world of Azeroth and to someday aid his people in the retaking of their shattered home world.

Awakening in Azuremyst IsleEdit

Zalistuur pleased to find Nobundo still alive.

Upon awakening in the Ammen Vale, Zalistuur was pleased to find many Draenei still alive. When he arrived at Azure Watch, Zalistuur was informed that the Exodar remained largely intact after the crash. In hopes to find his mentor Nobundo and Velen alive, Zalistuur raced to the Exodar. Upon arrival, Zalistuur was amazed that the ship was transformed into a city of sorts, with a vibrant trading economy with the neighboring Alliance races. After discovering that Nobundo and Velen were indeed alive, Nobundo recommended Zalistuur to acquire a profession in order to gain an income to fund his future adventures off the island. Noticing that the island had an abundance of Copper Ore, as well as the knowledge that his race had a knack with jewels, Zalistuur took up the profession off Jewelcrafting and Mining. Zalistuur then returned to Azure Watch to aid the survivors in any way he could.

First encounter with the HordeEdit

Upon his arrival on Auberdine, Zalistuur decided to rest in an Inn. His slumber was cut short however, for he awoke to sounds of screams and clash of metal. Zalistuur ran out of the Inn in order to investigate, only to find the streets of Auberdine littered with the corpses of the dead. As he went out looking to aid any surviving Night Elves, Zalistuur ran into a contingent of the Horde, consisting of Orcs and Blood Elves. Knowing he cannot survive such a large force on his own, Zalistuur fled to the woods as the Horde chased after him. Noticing that the Horde forces were quite a distance away, Zalistuur hid in a large brush and transformed into Ghost Wolf form. When the Orcs arrived near his location, Zalistuur was relieved they were unable to see him.

“That was an Eredar, I am sure of it,” one of the Orcs bellowed, “…I remember how they melted my comrades into goo and bones using their vile demonic magic.”

“Calm yourself…” responded the leader of the group.

“We must reunite with the others and return to Splintertree Post immediately!” the leader yelled to the others, “Vengeance has been done on these vile Night Elves!”

And with that, the Orcs marched away. Zalistuur realized these Orcs were not controlled by the Burning Legion, for if they were, why should they fear an Eredar? Zalistuur heard the tale of how the Orcs freed themselves from the Burning Legion’s influence, but up until now, he never encountered these redeemed Orcs. He also pondered the “vengeance” which the Orcs achieved against the Night Elves. With these questions in mind, Zalistuur returned back to Auberdine.

Zalistuur's encounter with Lorovor.

Upon entering the Night Elf village, Zalistuur was ambushed by an Orc who has hidden behind a building. The Orc raised his axe, ready to strike down Zalistuur where he stood. Zalistuur quickly spoke back in Orcish to his would be killer: “I do not wish to fight you, but you give me no alternative.” The Orc, startled that Zalistuur spoke his language, lowered his axe. Zalistuur then demanded why the Orcs attacked these peaceful Night Elves. The Orc, who called himself Lorovor, barked back at Zalistuur which such fury which appeared as fierce as the swing of his axe.

“Peaceful…you either mock me or fail to understand the meaning of the word Eredar. These Night Elves harass are settlement of Splintertree Post day and night!”

Lorovor then slammed his foot on the rock pavement with anger and frustration as he continued his tale.

“None of our women and children can safely venture out of our settlement without the danger of them being cut down by those dam sentinels!”

Lorovor then lowered his head, eyes staring blankly on the pavement. “They even killed my elderly father during his morning herb gathering…he was unarmed…”

Zalistuur felt pain for the Orc. These were not the mindless brutes which the Night Elves made them out to be. From the tale Lorovor told, it seemed these Night Elves were capable of the same brutish acts which they only associated with the Orcs. A sound of a horn blew from the distance. Lorovor then raised his head an eyed Zalistuur. “I spare you for you do not seem like the vile Eredar I faced in the past.” And with that, the Orc ran off into the woods. Zalistuur went about aiding the elves of Auberdine, never telling any of his confrontation with Lorovor. Though Night Elves were intolerant of the Orcs, Zalistuur knew there were very few who would embark on a campaign of murder and mayhem. Fully understanding the elves discrimination of the Orcs, comparing it with his own peoples animosity toward the Blood Elves, Zalistuur still believed such hatreds could spark a threat greater then any the Burning Legion can produce.

A Tale of Three Cities and Shadowfang KeepEdit

Zalistuur meeting Tyrande Whisperwind.

Accomplishing many quests and heroic feats in Darkshore and Ashenvale, Zalistuur became greatly revered by the Night Elves to the point where they began overlooking their racial differences. Helping in this accomplishment was Zalistuur’s aid to Pelturas Whitemoon’s daughter Relara Whitemoon in Astranaar who suffered from a deadly mysterious illness. Upon the recovery of the young Night Elf, Raene Wolfrunner of Ashenvale recommended Zalistuur to visit Darnassus, the Nigh Elf capital, to gain the blessing of the High Priestess of Elune, Tyrande Whisperwind. Following this advice, Zalistuur traveled back to Auberdine to catch a vessel to Darnassus.

Upon arriving at the Night Elf capital, Zalistuur was amazed on how their architecture created no damaging impact upon the ecosystem. Weeds were allowed to grow on buildings undeterred. While other races cut down forests in order to build their dwellings, Zalistuur marveled on how the Night Elves not only forbidden this practice, but actually made the trees their homes. Living within the trunk of the trees, Night Elf homes appeared more spacious then those constructed by humans, dwarves, and even Zalistuur’s fellow Draenei. Nearing the Temple of the Moon, Zalistuur was greeted by Valustraa, an emissary from the Exodar. She led Zalistuur to the presence of Tyrande Whisperwind. Though she was of another race, Zalistuur was marveled by her beauty and wisdom which emanated from her, and felt compelled to kneel in her presence. Tyrande quickly asked him to rise, telling Zalistuur how unnecessary it was, and thanked him for the aid he has given her people. Tyrande told Zalistuur how the wrath of the Burning Legion ravaged her people and destroyed large amounts of their land. Any help, Tyrande continued, no matter how little, was greatly welcome. With that Tyrande presented Zalistuur a Great Horned Owl to accompany him in his adventures through Azeroth. Tyrande laid her hand upon the forehead of Zalistuur to give him Elune’s blessing: “May the serene light of the Mother Moon illuminate your path.”

On his way back to Auberdine, Zalistuur received a telepathic messege from a Night Elf requesting aid. Before Zalistuur could reply back, his body became transparent and his surrounding blurred. A bright aura flashed around him and he quickly found himself teleported to the human capital of Stormwind. Zalistuur was amazed on the grand architecture of this human city, with its tall stone structures almost scraping the sky. From a distance Zalistuur saw the tall spires of Stormwind’s cathedral, its roof shining from the sun’s rays. Taking his eye from the cityscape, Zalistuur looked to find who summoned him. Zalistuur saw a Nigh Elf druid thanking a human mage for the summoning. When them mage left, the Nigh Elf named Shalail turned to Zalistuur.

“Your reputation among my people have been spread far and wide Draenei,” Shalail stated with a bow. “When I contacted Malfurian to request aid on my quest, he mentioned you with great promise since Tyrande Whisperwind spoke of you.”

Zalistuur, feeling rather embarrassed with his newfound reputation, thanked Shalail for his kind words and asked how he might help him.

“We must travel to the coast of Westfall, a significant distance away but should be done before sunset if we leave now.” Shalail pointed toward the direction to exit Stormwind. “Once there I must hunt down a Reef Shark in order to complete my Pendant of the Sea Lion, a trial which all druids must face.”

Zalistuur agreed to aid Shalail in his quest. With that, they marched out of Stormwind and headed toward Westfall.
