Rion was a very skilled bowman and spearman. He lived in Ashenvale Forest among the Night Elves. He was a Ranger, Paladin, then a Death Knight.

History Edit

Rion was found by night elves as a child in Ashenvale. He was taken to their village and taught the ways of the ranger. However, once Rion had reached adulthood, this village became under attack by The Scourge. Rion led the village’s defenses to arms and began pushing back the undead. During this battle he visited the southern village, ruled by Adaryn Lizardslayer. His wife Ardnas had been captured by some satyrs to the north. He agreed to join Rion's struggle if he helped save Ardnas. Agreeing, they managed to destroy the satyr encampment and rescue Ardnas. With the aid of these two, Rion was finally able to defeat the undead army which was led by the Crypt Lord, Anub'arak. In the final battle however, Sylvanas, the Banshee Queen appeared and fired an arrow at Anub'arak. But in the confusion of the battle, it hit Rion. After this he blacked out. Hours later, he awoke in the middle of his village to find it destroyed, his captain nearly dead. Upon asking what happened, the captain swore at him and said he had betrayed them all. Then she died. Rion, unable to believe what he had heard, decided to check with Adaryn and Ardnas. Upon entering the southern village, Adaryn was furious with him, claiming that he had destroyed his own village. Through speculation, they discovered that Rion was controlled by the evil that was in Sylvanas’ arrow. After learning this, Rion sought out a human encampment in the forest and took a ship to Stormwind. There he was accepted by the paladins to undergo training for preventing the evil from overtaking him. Once he reached the proper level, he became the apprentice of Donmy Goldensun Deesic. They went on many missions together until they were instructed to eradicate the orcs that were terrorizing a village. After they destroyed the orc base and rescued the High Priest's daughter Amberlin, Anub'arak came down from a mountain with an army of undead. The two paladins began battle, but when Rion got close to Anub'arak, he lost it. The presence of Sylvanas' arrow’s intended target triggered the evil within Rion. He went mad and began killing everything he saw. Knowing what was happening, both Donmy and Anub'arak fled. Donmy tried to warn the village, but he wasn’t fast enough, and Rion had already brought it to ruin. Rion now wanders the land as Lord Chaos, seeking destruction and mayhem in the name of the Burning Legion.
