EDG is not a particularly skilled or experienced programmer or scripter, but he likes to tinker and share what he's learned. Although he's been playing video and computer games for more than 20 years, World of Warcraft is his first and only MMORPG.

EDG primarily plays on Dragonblight these days, as Stazane, Olkerath, or Ehapai on the Horde side, and as Alethe and Kolirre on the Alliance side. He does not particularly enjoy PvP.

The meaning of the acronym "EDG" is a subject of some debate. EDG pronounces it to rhyme with "edge".
