Elysian IceriftEdit

Elysian is the older of the two Icerift sisters, and is by far the more sane one.

HistoryEdit

From the Past; Elysian's Living LifeEdit

Elysian was born in Old Silvermoon, now known as the Ruins of Silvermoon. She grew up like every other female blood elf, and when it came time for her to go on in life without her parents, joined the Rangers of Silvermoon, also known as the Farstriders; action and glamour, curiously, appealed to her. She thusly gained knowledge of how to kill, and also, from this age, began to both fear and hate Trolls. With the High Elves' alliance with the human race, she also learnt to hate orcs. Ascending the ranks slowly but steadily, she became somewhat respected in the eye of Quel'Thalas, as all veterans of the Farstriders were...

Until Arthas came to light.

In Parting; Descent Into DeathEdit

At first, she was horrified at the news. The so-called human prince had murdered his father? Yet her surprise was cut short, as the corrupted man sought to desecrate the arcane energies of the Sunwell in order to resurrect the most potent and evil-bound lich of all.

Kel'Thuzad.

In battle she fought against the mountains of ambulatory corpses that were the brunt of the Scourge troops. Bloodlust consumed her, little by little; each swing and each heft brought her slowly into the abyss... until finally something hit her, and she knew no more.

When she woke up, she found herself different...

She was donned in peculiar armour with outlandish glyphs covering their sides. And what was more, her skin was pale as moonlight.

At first she panicked, but then a clear, cold, sharp voice spoke to her... from somewhere.

"You are mine now."

That simple sentence seemed to cut through her thoughts, and managed to somehow force her soul to believe that the voice was somehow to be listened to...

For seven years she toiled under the haze that what she eventually learned was the Lich King had brought upon her mind. Even now, her memories from this time in her life are fuzzy.

Redemption From the ScourgeEdit

"The greatest epiphany I ever had was to defect."

Two months ago, Elysian defected from the Lich King, after several revelations occurred, one of them involving the Knights of the Ebon Blade.

She is closed-lipped when speaking of this part of her life, but it may be pieced together that, with the influence of Alexandros Mograine's betrayal, the veil spun upon her by the Lich King had been lifted, and her freedom was cemented by the taking of Acherus for the Knights of the Ebon Blade.

The Forsaken VanirEdit

Freedom was hers; for a week or so. Then it came time that she was given a delegation of recommendation by the Knights to provide to the so-called Horde leader; Thrall, an Orc. As dutifully as she could, she ferried the letter to Orgrimmar, and like all previously Scourge-affiliated Death Knights she was insulted and spat upon... until she made her way to the leader himself.

As it had happened, the letter brought to him from Elysian was actually a recommendation for the Death Knight herself.

And so she incongruently went from hated to honoured.

From there, she joined the Forsaken Vanir, a motley collection of social deviants, and has stayed with them... until one day Azahira, a Blood Elf, decided she wanted to play a trick on her. Claiming that Revynn, a fellow guild member had raped her, and that Talibah (the guild leader) had been notified and had not cared in the least. Needless to say, after a guild meeting, she questioned both of them blindly and, after a confrontation, left the guild, supposedly 'forevermore.'

However, she could not stay long angry with her first friends, and after some clearing up of Azahira's reputation in Wayfarer's Inn with some strangers, she then came back to the guild, begging an apology from Talibah for her actions, and received a happy acceptance back.

The Crimson MoonEdit

Slowly, her ties with the Forsaken Vanir began to wane. First she stopped attending guild meetings-- then she began to leave Ravenholdt Manor for extended periods of time. After a while, she entirely cut all ties with them. Ely began flitting from one place of residence to another, until finally she came upon the Crimson Moon Village. Not knowing who it was owned by, she took up an empty house in it, which was inexplicably filled with all sorts of things. After her first week or so there, she was discovered by an orc Shaman named Ordla, who was part of the Crimson Moon. The Shaman promised to keep shut about her presence if Ely guarded Ordla when she went for walks around Kalimdor, as the roads had become more dangerous and more dangerous.

On a rare trip away from the Village, she found a body by the shore. When she poked the body, it stirred, and soon muttered, "Where... am I?"

The voice was familiar. Very familiar.

She recognised it as the voice of Lisele Icerift, specifically. In other words, her sister.

Ely remembers nothing of what happened, except for lugging the body over to the Crimson Moon Village, and taking care of her for a few weeks.

After that, she sent Lisele away to a certain place in Northrend-- that being the Sanctum of the Nether.

IntricaciesEdit

IdiosyncraciesEdit

  • She, for some reason, has a great dislike for males in general except for those she knows well.
  • Sarcasm and irony are often prevalent in her everyday speech. Be warned.
  • Alcohol makes her stupid. Do you want to see?

Lisele IceriftEdit

Lisele Icerift is the little sister of unpopular Death Knight Elysian Icerift. She was awakened from the Lich King's grasp a rather long time after her sister's defection.

Lisele's StoryEdit

In Retrospect; Lisele as a Blood ElfEdit

Before she was turned, Lisele was but a little girl, a High Elf at the age of 54, which according to human age is more or less equivalent to 14. She was also corrupted a few months after Elysian Icerift was-- as she, along with her only surviving relative, her mother, had retreated into Old Silvermoon City, which had not yet been ruined. Lisele and her mother learnt of Elysian's death the week after Ely had been mutilated and reanimated as a Death Knight. In her grief, Lisele ran into a group of ghouls, and after several seconds, she had been almost literally torn apart.

Thus began her descent into darkness.

Deep IronyEdit

The same necromancer that had reanimated Elysian Icerift eventually came upon Lisele's slight body a few days after her death. It was covered with flies, and was missing a few body parts, but Lis was eventually raised as a mindless part of the Scourge. Her undead mind, though twisted by the tendrils of necromancy, lent itself to spellcasting easily, although she was never lichified, luckily for her. The machinations of the Scourge soon meant that Lisele was under the same necromancer that had raised her-- the man had been elevated to the status of Lich, and gave Lis regular infusions of magical energy, empowering her magic by a great deal, but also slowly strengthening her free will.

Soon, she rebelled against the Lich, and obliterated an eighth of the army of skeletons that protected him with a single, massive blast of Arcane magic. The rest of his unholy legion was destroyed in much the same way. When only she and he were left, they began battle.

Magic missile met shadowbolt, and pyroblasts were countered with soulfires. The battle seemed evenly split, neither side giving an inch, until finally the collision of two of their spells created a sizeable explosion, knocking Lisele Icerift out, and vapourising the Lich and his phylactery. The detonation alarmed the Lich King, and he soon sent scouts to see what had occured. Much was his surprise when he found ruins and a slightly singed Lisele, and he figured out what had happened.

The conjurer's body was set afloat a burning boat and sent towards the Eastern Kingdoms.

Lucky BreaksEdit

If her body was incinerated, however, there would be no story to tell here.

As the flames slowly made their way to Lisele's body, the mage began to stir-- and smelled the scent of pungent wood. With a loud, panicked yell, not even opening her eyes, she rolled and fell off the edge of the boat. Currents soon swept her towards the Eastern Kingdoms-- specifically, to the shore of Tirisfal Glades.

There, she was found by a Blood Elven scrounger, named Elysian Icerift, who had been looking for seashells on the beach, and was brought back to the Crimson Moon Village, nursed back to a semblance of health.

Then she was sent away to the chills of Northrend, looking for what her rescuer, who had not identified herself, named the "Sanctum of the Nether." Eventually she learned it was some sort of school for the magical arts, and although she was talented, she eventually failed out of the school due to not attending lectures, and was sent away. Now she roams around the Eastern Kingdoms, looking for things to kill.
