Ideas and brainstorming for Ghostlands server page MK2
- Areana Table - More Graphic and Appealing apperance - More detailed information on server, including picture of the ghostlands, when AQ gates opened.
- Progression tables
- Something Like WoWWiki:Server_project/Progression_Table maybe?
- Record dates when boss was killed. (will take time to recover past kills)
- Removing of kara/za tables and maybe T4 content.
Guild Table - Table should show the guild's focus and reputation. Limit to top 10 guilds each side? Maybe encourage the development of dedicated guild sites?
Maybe we should get a server Screen shot of a large % of the player base.
By using census+ data we should have a table showing distribution of population
I have come to the decision that all pre T6 content will be kept on separate pages. Each tier to it's own page. I will create these in time once I have come up with a suitable format and layout. This should reduce clutter while still keeping the achievements of newer guilds in the open
Sunwell
Servers I want to use bits of:
Server:Aggramar_Europe (top box)
Server:Bloodhoof_Europe (General layout, all boxed in)
Server:Emerald_Dream_Europe (census data apperance)
Server:Silvermoon_Europe (looks good, especially start but too long)
Further research and digging have resulted in these interesting pages:
-Multi tabbed page. A potentially efficient way of compressing a large page into a smaller screen space area. Definatly worth looking into especially in terms of separation of PvE tier progress.

THIS is an interesting idea. LIVE updating of server progress THROUGH RSS feeds. Unfortunately the wowprogress site currently only supports sunwell, but if it is expanded to included all previous content. Could be a very interesting function. Just it's appearance needs a bit of work. Something to keep an eye on for WotLK maybe.
feel free to edit this article for suggestions
I did have the idea of presenting progress tables as a dynamic tabbed stable, similar to WoWWiki-Popeye/sandbox4 with each tab being a raid instance
Further R&D has concluded that the tabbed approach used in WoWWiki-Popeye/sandbox4 is not infact dynamic or a frame, and infact each tab takes you to a completely different website, so to speak. If I was to use this system the progress table would need to be located separately from main Ghostlands homepage.
What I am currently aiming for is this:
Main progress is viewable on main page (SUNWELL) but user can gain quick and easy access to ANY previous progress from T4-T6. Each Tier (or even raid instance) should be kept separate from each other to minimize clutter. I believe that anyone who accomplishes something in BC by killing a boss, especially in the final 25 man bosses (Vashj, Kael, Archi, Illidan) SHOULD receive reconizition. Also while clearing ZA is not considered a big accompishment these days, compleating the timed portion IS.
I'm looking for a solution to this problem but I do not think it is possible to "frame" the progress tables and as such, they would need to be stored on separate sub-sites.
What I may end up doing is having the Sunwell progress table on the main page, with a Link to the main progress section which would be a tabbed area, I have started the template at the bottom of Ghostlands_Europe/Raid_Progression/Tier_4
In a final point, I have decided that it is high time a BRB page be made in WoWwiki. I will create this and then announce it on the BRB forums along with the beta of Ghostlands V2 and hopefully get some constructive feedback and some fresh ideas. However, I think all the best progress tables would be linked through Server_project
Any and All suggestions are welcomed.
