I am happily married and enjoy spending time with my wife. We both share interests in digital photography and target shooting. Recently I have been able to talk her into giving World of Warcraft a try, and she now enjoys it along with me.
Another interest I have is in programming and web design, which probably explains why I've found editing and helping improve this Wiki so enjoyable.
I have been playing MMOs since 1999 when I first started playing EverQuest. I played EQ until about 2007 at which point I felt the game had changed so much it didn't feel the same and had become something in which I no longer found enjoyment.
Between then and now, I have tried a lot of other MMOs including EverQuest II, Final Fantasy XI, Lineage II, and Vanguard: Saga of Heroes. However, none of those could really keep me captivated in the way that EverQuest had.
I created my WoW account and began playing in January 2005, I found the game enjoyable and played up until just before the launch of TBC. I cancelled my account for some time; up until just after the release of WotLK, at which point I reinstated my account and began to play again.
I'm not big on alts, even though I do have a couple. Right now my shaman is my main character, and I enjoy her immensely.
My mage was initially my main character, and my shaman was a character I honestly created only because I thought the sound effect that [Earthliving] made when it proc'd was "cool," and wanted to play around with it.
I leveled my shaman in elemental spec because it was easier that way; I was leveling her before the dungeon finder was implemented and doing quests was the best way to move up fast. Once I hit level 80 I purchased dual spec and set her up for a restoration off-spec. Once I got the hang of healing I really started to enjoy it, and (much to my surprise) a character that had started out on a kind of a silly note soon started to become my favorite character.
However, at this point, Sareine was still just a character whom I enjoyed playing on the side; it wasn't until I was able to convince my wife to start playing that set Sareine's status as my main in stone. Since my wife chose to play as a protection specced paladin, my resto shaman was the perfect compliment to her character. It's a combo that is sure to see us clearing much content together.
