Fighting for Home
Edit
At the day the Undead Scourge Invaded Lordaeron, many people has answered the call to defend the land from the cursed dead. Among these men, was Tzuriel Vernal, born to a noble family bloodline of Lordaeron, he chose out of his own will to join the army and defend the land. Twenty years old Tzuriel passed quick training of four months to become a Footman and then sent to the front line... After spending a period of time in the field, he was summoned back to the command center to recieve new function.
He was stationed under a new commander, a Paladin of the Silver Hand named Felian Lightfire. Venturing with Felian's team into the field to drive back the undead, they lived in the dangerous wilderness and fought the undead day and night, between Tzuriel and Felian was forged a great friendship, Tzuriel felt as if Felian was a big brother to him. When Prince Arthas, now Death Knight, returned to Lordaeron from Kalimdor After the defeat of the Burning Legion at Mount Hyjal to claim the Kingdom for himself, Felian was ordered by the High Command to help and lead citizens and survivors from the Kingdom of Lordaeron over to the Kingdom of Stormwind, and Tzuriel was ordered to remain behind and cover the great escape.
Holding the undead at bay, the army has helped to save hundreds of survivors from the claws of the undead. Unfortinately, Arthas's forces were overwhelming and many of the soldiers fled the battlefield for their lives, Tzuriel saw that the battle was lost, he fled over the direction of Silverpine Forest. Trying to find a safe place in the forest, he eventually found the Greymane Wall, the entrance to the Kingdome of Gilneas. The gate of the wall was closed and Gilneas refused to let anyone in, Tzuriel saw that few survivors camped near the wall and he asked to join them and was gladly accepted.
Family Betreyal
Edit
Two months after Tzuriel fled from Lordaeron, he decided to travel back there and see what has fate planned for his once proud homeland. The outskirts of the Capital City were quite but Tzuriel noticed that the native animals have been mutated as result of the Plague of Undeath. He went farther into the Plaguelands, there he scouted around and noticed a few undead basecamps, and at each of them were amasing undead forces. Tzuriel couldn't believe to what he saw, it seemed as if this army was preparing to launch an attack against something.
Tzuriel went close enough to the biggest of bases and looked for someone who might be leading these forces, probably a Death Knight like Arthas. He then noticed out of the corner of his eye a figure stepping out of one of the Ziggurats, it was a tall figure, dressed in black robes covered by green glowing runes, it was tall, holding a large glowing staff and it's face were covered by a black hood.
It seemed a very powereful enemy, perhaps he was the leader of these forces. The Figure snapped a finger and all of the forces at the base stood in front of him, prepared for an order to strike.
The Hooded Figure laughed loudly and began to talk to himself, of how he shall conquer the Scarlet Crusade's base of Tyr's Hand. Tzuriel somehow recognized his voice to be strongly familier, he kept listening to him speaking and laughing. And then, the Hooded Figure took off his hood. Tzuriel was shocked at the view, it was a noble member of his family! "Uncle Ruredon..." mumbled Tzuriel to himself, why did he joined the Scourge? Tzuriel didn't know, but he had to find out, he needed answers about his parents fate, and Uncle Ruredon surely had the answers...
Tzuriel figured that Ruredon turned out to be a powerful Necromancer who amassed the undead army who was prepared to unleash itself upon Tyr's Hand. Ruredon has organized it's army and one day after Tzuriel first saw him step out of the Ziggurat, he marched over to Tyr's Hand, ready to crush it in the name of the Scourge. Tzuriel Followed him there, and watched from a distance as the battle begun, kneeling behind a big rock atop a small cliff overwatching the road to Tyr's Hand. He tried to locate Ruredon on the battlefield, and saw him raising fallen Scarlet troops into undead minions, Tzuriel was sure that Tyr's Hand will fall before Ruredon's army. The bloody battle raged, as Tzuriel continued to watch he saw Ruredon climb atop his steed and prepare to ride off from the battlefield.
Tzuriel quickly stood up and jumped down to the road to block Ruredon's path, he quickly draw his sword and prepared to assault the Necromancer. "Well well if it isn't little Tzuriel, who would have believe you will survive the invasion! Ha! I suppose you were spying me for quite some time didn't you?". Tzuriel gazed upon his uncle with hatred, and then responded: "Your'e right about that Ruredon, how could you betray us like this?". Ruredon laughed before responding "Power little Tzuriel, power that is which drove me to do this! and so it did to your parents hahahaha!" He laughed, almost madly. Tzuriel was preparing his first step in mind, but he had to keep his uncle busy, and at the same time get the answers he was looking for: "What? no... Where are my parents you bastard!".
Ruredon responded: "Far away from here, they have became loyal servants of the Lich King! just like me, why don't you join us? don't you want to meet them again?" he grinned at Tzuriel wickedly. Tzuriel felt sweat run down his forehead: "Never! you traitor!". Ruredon shrugged "I am dissapointed, now i'll have to kill you!" and with that said the Necromancer jumped off his horse and attacked Tzuriel with shadow bolts. Tzuriel quickly rolled on the ground and escaped the first of the attacks but he was wounded by the others that came after. He was barely breathing and the pain was so strong. Tzuriel knew he must act quickly or he will die and be raised back as one of Ruredon's undead soldiers! He got to his fit and charged his uncle, his sword lifted to his left, holding it in both hands Tzuriel was ready to land a killing blow on his uncle...
But his uncle proved to be one of the strongest foes Tzuriel faced in his life, he couldn't believe him to become so powerful. After a long exausting battle Tzuriel made it and killed his uncle, with the last force left in him, he climbed on Ruredon's steen and made his way back to the camp near the Greymane Wall, where he slowly recovered from his wounds. He knew, that his family was lost to him, but he swore revenge, he will kill his own parents for betreyal if he will have to! Could he...?
Forging a new Future
Edit
Almost a year after living near the Greymane Wall, Tzuriel decided to make his way to a better place, there has to be somewhere he could live and be safe. He decided to make the same journy Felian did to the Kingdom of Stormwind, Tzuriel smiled to himself, if Felian could make it under such stressed conditions of battle, then Tzuriel would surely be able to make it alone. And so, Tzuriel departed from his friends near the Greymane Wall and made his way to Stormwind, after a journy of one week he made it to the Capital. In order to make a living, Tzuriel offered himself to the Army of Stormwind and help the guards maintain the peace around the land.
Life seemed to ease on Tzuriel at this period, he had no problem helping driving away the Defias Brotherhood agents in Elwynn Forest. Tzuriel was happy how things turned out after he arrived at Stormwind, he lost all his possesions in the war, and had to start over. On his free time, he went to Stormwind City and explored it, it is there where he started to become interested in Alchemy and Herbalism. He also found himself spending much of his money on drinks at the Pig and Whistle Tavern. One day, Tzuriel was collecting herbs around Elwynn for some basic concoctions he was preparing to make, and after he gathered the herbs, he decided to stop and rest at the Lion's Pride Inn at Goldshire.
Tzuriel went inside, ordered his favorate drink, Moonberry Juice and took a sit. While he was counting his herbs a young woman took a seat beside him. It figures this woman was pretty interested in Tzuriel's work because she was an alchemist herself, and knew all types of herbs. The girl's name was Roxane, and she offered Tzuriel to go out with her to the forest to collect herbs. Tzuriel gladly agreed, as he was pretty new to alchemy and herbalism, and was very interested in learning more from this nice girl. While they were collecting the herbs, they spoke about many things. At one point Roxane asked Tzuriel where he comes from, and Tzuriel explained to her of his homeland and how he got to Stormwind.
Roxane explained Tzuriel that her husband is a survivor of Lordaeon as well, when Tzuriel heard the name he was in shock. Roxane's husband was none other then his former Commander, Felian Lightfire. Tzuriel told Roxane of Felian's connection to him, and she offered him to look after Felian in the Cathedral of Light in the city, where Felian liked to spend much of his time learning how to become a better paladin. Tzuriel went there a few days afterwards, and indeed he saw Felian speaking to one of the other Paladins in the Cathedral. When Felian saw Tzuriel he was even more happy then him, sitting on a good Dwarven Ale they both spoke about what happened to each of them after they departed in the war.
The Lightfire Vanguard
Edit
One day, Tzuriel recieved a letter from Felian about a new order he was making, named the Lightfire Vanguard, he explained in the letter that the order's cauase was to help maintain the peace wherever the Alliance is needing to. Tzuriel gladly agreed, he left the Stormwind Army and joined Felian in his holy cause, Tzuriel was one of the most loyal members of the Vanguard, he worked as a special agent of Felian to spread the Vanguard's cause and help people in need in it's name.
As the Vanguard's numbers grew large enough, Tzuriel was given the rank of a Captain of the Vanguard's forces. He helped Felian to lead them in battle and was well satisfied to stand side by side with Felian once again. Tzuriel also replaced Felian's position as a Leader of the Vanguard at the time Felian was criticaly wounded untill he would recover. When the Lightfire Graveyard knew hard times, at the day Felian became a Death Knight, Tzuriel went on his own to track Felian down. Confronting him on his way to Stormwind, he tried to convince him to his senses but it was pointless since it was Felian's Dark side he was talking to. Tzuriel was wounded in battle against Felian and was left to die on the main road to Stormwind.
With the help of a Stormwind Guard, he made it to the city and there, a loyal member of the Vanguard, Eredarei Staghelm took care of his wounds. Tzuriel was there to lead the Vanguard at it's final battle against Felian the Death Knight, the conflict was long, but the Vanguard along with other guilds made it and defeated Felian. When Felian decided to disband the Lightfire Vanguard becuase he lost his faith in it, Tzuriel remained loyal to him, and they traveled thogeter to give the Alliance what aid they could offer thogeter in battle.
Searching a new strenght
Edit
After a while Tzuriel and Felian's ways have departed again, Tzuriel traveled far away to train and become stronger in the art of battle. He spent months working hard to become a true powerful fighter, after he finished his training, he began to travel between Kalimdor and the Eastern Kingdoms and help the Alliance where he saw fit to lend a hand. Tzuriel also spend a long time looking after artifacts of great power, artifacts which will help him to obtain legendary strenght, that will improve his powers amazingly or grant him new ones... So that he could have his vengeance against the Scourge for ruining his family and homeland.
One day Tzuriel visited the Darkmoon Faire while they parked in Elwynn, and asked to join them in their travel across the known lands untill they will reach Mulgore and they agreed to allow him to come along. In his travels with the Faire, he met a mysterious gnome which after a talk with Tzuriel about his search for artifacts, offered to sell him a book which said to contain information about many powerful artifacts hidden around the world. Tzuriel gladly brought the book, it was a heavy one, and through it Tzuriel learned many secrets. After Tzuriel left the Faire he traveled back to Elwynn Forest, there he found a spot where he sat and began reading further in the book. When he reached the middle of it, he saw one paragraph written in an unknown language, Tzuriel's curiousity was ignited and he had to translate that paragraph.
Traveling to the town of Darkshire, Tzuriel remembered a man by the name of Sirra Von'Indi, which it's vast knowledge in translating would surely help in this case. The strange language was written in an arcane language, the paragraph contained information of how to draw power from the Old Gods themselves, known only to few around the entire world, and none of those ever dared to try and harness that power. Tzuriel decided that he shall be the one to obtain the incredible powers of the Old Gods. What was asked of him was to read a few sentences in the ancient language of the gods and the powers shall be his.
He said the words and soon felt his entire being washed over with the unbelievable power, the book dropped from his hands as Tzuriel laughed madly, he couldn't believe such power to be exist! With a motion of his hand, he summoned Elementals of every type to his side. Tzuriel decided to travel back to his homeland and strike once and for all against the undead. Arriving at Lordaeron, he summoned forth waves of elemental forces and sent them against the undead in the Plaguelands, he also returned to Lordaeron's Capital City and there he unleasehd more of his forces. The Forsaken quickly rose to the challenge, and an epic battle has begun. Tzuriel used his new power to slaughter through the undead forces easily, however something went wrong, and at the middle of the fight the elementals began attacking each other. Fire against air, water against earth, and so on. Tzuriel didn't knew what's wrong and had no choice but to flee as the Forsaken took the opportunity and destroyed the remaining elementals.
Tzuriel decided to return as quickly as possible to Stormwind, how could the elementals turn suddenly against each other? He felt something was not quite right about him, he decided he does not want that kind of power, he felt corrupted. Tzuriel decided to seek cure in the Light, and looked for Felian, who by now was the most powerful paladin he knew, having the power to travel to the Realm of the Light itself, and besides he was his best friend. When Felian heard the story he told Tzuriel he will do his best to banish the Old God's taint from him, with the help of his Naaru friend, Ken'o, Felian rid Tzuriel of the power he possessed, and that power was lost forever.
