Therantil Düsterwind is a mage that lived in a small village in the Alterac mountains, in his youth he studied the arcane in Dalaran. After Alterac's destruction by the army of Stromgarde he fled to Southshore where he worked as teacher at the local school.

In all this time he traveld often too Lordaeron and made many friends all over the kingdom. After the third war he traveled from Southshore to Stormwind by ship.
