I have been contributing to goblin threads on the warcraft forum and here is one idea i had.

New Expansion: Into The Maelstrom

Description: Trade Prince Steamwheedle was on his way to have a meeting or something like that. He is travelling there by boat and one foolish crew man falls asleep on the job and they are all sucked into the Maelstrom. No one hears from him for a long time and the goblins start to investigate with some goblin tracking device and it says he is in the MAelstrom so thewy take a risk and go inside. They discover a new world etc. but the Venture Co. were planning to assasinate Trade Prince Steamwheedle while he is on his way to his meeting and are sucked into the Maelstrom as well. The leader of the Venture Co. captures Prince Steamwheedle (dungeon/raid idea). The goblins ask for help from the Horde and Alliance to rescue their leader. Two of the Trade Princes are fighting for the Princes fortune and start up their own forces. One decides to join the Horde and the other the Alliance. Goblins become new race. They think that the Alliance/Horde will help them rescue Prince Steamwheedle granting them favor of the prince so they will recieve the fortune.

Race classes: Warlock, Warrior, Priest, Mage, Hunter, Rogue and Death Knight.

Racial Mount: Giant turtles

Racial Attributes:

Dont Touch That Zeppelin (Horde Passive): Increases Damage Done by all Melee weapons by 5% Get The Job Done (Alliance Passive): Increases Haste Rating by 2%

Hard Bargainer (Racial): When activated your next item purchased will be 5% cheaper. (Cooldown: 60 minutes) Cannot be used in Auction House or on any items uncommon or higher.

Shiny! (Racial): Makes all enemies within X blinded by a shiny coin. Reduces their chance to hit by 3% for 30 seconds?

Haven't decided other attributes

A problem that may come up in PvP is that you will not be able to tell the difference between a Horde goblin or an Alliance so I thought that maybe the Alliance can be an aqua colour and the Horde an Orangey colour.

Starting Area: As a goblin you have just come of age to enroll yourself to be part of the expedition to save Trade Prince Steamwheedle. You are in a cave with many other goblin workers mining for resources and you talk to Overseer Murun (random names)

Hello _________, I am so happy you are now able to work for us. It is dissappointing that Trade Prince ______(alliance goblin) and Trade Prince _______(Horde goblin) are fighting but after you have proven your worth then you must become a mercenary for one of them. Now for your first job I would like you to take this Mining pick and gather 10 Goblin Cave Ore.

Players would do some more quests around the area leading out of the cave etc. kiling troggs that maybe interfering with their work.

Then at lvl 5 they must pick a side and take a potion which will make them Aqua(if they chose alliance) or orange (if they chose horde) they are then teleported to either Kharanos or Razor Hill (again depending on which side you picked)

Some people suggested quests about eliminating Bloodsail pirates in the starting area but this would not work due to people wanting to get the rep for Bloodsail.

It still needs a lot of work but that is a good foundation to build on.
