Tragedy & Triumph: The Story of Jarius Goldblood

Silverpine ForestEdit

When Kael'thas Sunstrider returned to Quel'Thalas from Dalaran, he gathered up any survivors, including Jarius, and declared the High Elves were now the Blood Elves, in honor of their fallen comrades. After assisting in the burning of much of forests of Quel'Thalas, Jarius joined the Blood Elf army in joining up with the main Alliance army. Grand Marshal Garithos ordered them gather supllies from ruined villages in Silverpine Forest in order to keep the Blood Elves, who he considered inferior, out of the way. Kael'thas Sunstrider had intended to split up his forces and send them to different villages in order to save time and had ordered Jarius to take a small force to Pyrewood Village to recover supplies from there. However, before Jarius could leave and head out to Pyrewood Village, Scourge forces ambushed them. After Kael'thas Sunstrider and the Blood Elves were rescued by Night Elves, he decided to keep his forces together. WIth the help of the Night Elves, the Blood Elves quickly gathered up the supplies and got their supply caravan to Pyrewood Village. When the caravan finally reached Pyrewood Village, the Scourge once again ambushed them. Jarius helped gather the remaining supplies while Kael'thas Sunstrider, his Blood Elf strike force, and his Night Elf allies held off the Scourge forces.

DalaranEdit

After escaping from the Scourge forces, Kael'thas Sunstrider had Jarius lead a scout team to look for Illidan Stormrage. Jarius tracked Illidan Stormrage to Dalaran where he was using the Eye of Sargeras to break apart the polar ice cap and destroy Icecrown and the Frozen Throne. After the forces of the Night Elves and Blood Elves stopped his spell, the Night Elves left to rescue Tyrande Whisperwind, leaving the Blood Elves alone in in the ruins of Dalaran.

Betrayed by the AllianceEdit

Following the departure of the Night Elves, Kael and the Blood Elves meet up with Grand Marshal Garithos. Dismissing his story of the Night Elves as a fanciful excuse, Grand Marshal Garithos ordered the Blood Elves to repair Dalaran's arcane observatories so they could spot a Scourge force which was believed to be coming from the East while he attacked a force coming in from the South. When they reached the arcane observatories, with the help of the Naga, Jarius assisted in the repairs. When Grand Marshal Garithos returned from the front, he condemned Kael for consorting with the naga, then returned to Dalaran. Garithos' Emissary soon arrived with further orders, reporting that the observatories had found that the undead force being lead by the Dreadlord Dalvengyr was actually coming in from the west. The Blood Elves was to defeat them, though the emissary also recalled his foot soldiers, cavalry, and support teams to the front lines. Jarius fought bravely against the Scourge army but was about to be killed by a Abominations but was saved by a Naga Siren. The Naga helped the Blood Elves defeat the Scourge army, with Jarius brutally slaying Dalvengyr and taking his blades for himself. When Grand Marshal Garithos returned and saw several Naga slithering away, he had them arrested for treason and locked up in the Dungeons of Dalaran.

DefectionEdit

Voren'thal was ordered by Kael to put together an army to capture Shattrath City. Voren'thal decided to recruit Blood Elves who felt that Kael had betrayed Illidan, the Horde, and his own people with his decision to align with the Burning Legion to march to Shattrath City with him, including Jarius. During their march to Shattrath City, Jarius revealed that he had a vision of A'dal, a naaru who warned him that Kael's alliance with the Burning Legion would lead them to ruin. Voren'thal than revealed that he knew and that only Blood Elves who had a vision of A'dal were chosen to accompany him to Shattrath City. He also stated that those who had visions of A'dal were convinced that Kael's decision to align with the Burning Legion would lead the Blood Elves to ruin.

PersonalityEdit

Jarius is well known for his bravery. He is also a keen tactical analyst and an intelligent strategist. Many battles have been won simply because of strategies and battle plans that Jarius put together. However, Jarius is best known for his biggest weakness, his temper. He once grabbed a messenger by the neck and threw him through the door of his office after the messenger informed him of the Massacre at Stillwhisper Pond.

  • I'm don't care if I have to blow up Shadowmoon Valley to do it, but I am going to kill Teron Gorefiend.
  • What kind of sick person would send a twenty year old who is married with a one year old son to his death?
  • That has to be the most despicable thing the Scourge has ever done. The only thing more shocking than what they did is the fact that it happened so close to Silvermoon City.
  • YOU SICK BASTARD! YOU DON'T DESERVE FORGIVENESS, YOU DESERVE THIS!
- to Remar Sunfire before killing him
  • What happened to you Pablo? You use to be one of the feared people to ever wear the colors of the Hand of Jarius. Now, you just sit in Silvermoon City and drown away your sorrows with Cherry Grogs. What happened to you Pablo? What happened to you?
- to Pablo Plaguekiller confronting him about leaving the Hand of Jarius after the death of Shirley Suncrown
