Like his title would suggest, Nostros the Wicked is indeed very wicked. A lich of the Scourge, Nostros’ merciless actions during the Third War earned him his title.

BiographyEdit

A lich in service of the Lich King, Nostros served the Scourge during the Third War. As a commanding officer of the Hellhounds, alongside Baron Soulreaver, he and the Baron were two of most feared and dangerous members of the team. When the deadly duo took to the field, victory was not far behind them. The cooperation the two of them shared and their ruthless tactics turned the tide of many of battles.

During the civil war of the Hellhounds, Nostros sided with his immediate superior, the Nathrezim lord, Sarin. However, his continued loyalty came with a price, and Nostros would remain a member of the Hellhounds so long as he could continue to serve as a member of the Scourge. Nostros, while very loyal to Sarin, realized the enormous benefits of the Scourge, one in particular being surrounded by the dark magic that sustained him. Sarin, after some thought, accepted this compromise, realizing the value of having connections in the Scourge.

Today, Nostros continues to serve both Sarin and the Lich King. He is presently in Northrend, preparing for the coming battle with the forces of the living at Icecrown Citadel.

Powers and AbilitiesEdit

Nostros’ spellbook seems rather typical of a lich, focusing primarily on frost and necromancy magics. However, his spell repository is vast and varied. His position as second in command to Sarin caused him to learn much of the demon’s dark magic.

Still, Nostros prefers to use signature lich spells, such as Frostbolt, Frost Nova and the powerful Death and Decay. His other spells serve more of a support role to his powerful frost spells.

Tome of the WickedEdit

Nostros’ spellbook is a large, thick tome known as the Tome of the Wicked. The magical tome is rather large, said to contain over a thousand pages, and when one thinks that this tome contains every spell known to the lich, he becomes even more fearful. The covers of the book are wrapped in mysterious brown leather that upon closer inspection, any creature with flesh would probably rather not know where it came from. The pages of the book are obviously very old parchment – how they haven’t crumbled into dust by now is beyond anyone’s knowledge, but it’s probably magic-related. The ink running across the pages of the tome are dark red and there appears to be no writing in the book that is of any known language. Looking closer, the dark red ink is revealed to be dried blood, and the writing in the book is some unknown, unholy runic script.

It is said that if anyone other than a powerful lich holds the tome, that it will instantly kill the holder, draining their blood and using it to automatically write new spells in the book.
