BiographyEdit

Duskmane FamilyEdit

Born to the prestigious Duskmane family, William was the second son to the family. His family was a family of strong-willed, intelligent, self-reliant aristocrats, who gained their fame for being very active politically. They were fairly-well known in some parts of Gilneas and had amassed a nice-sized fortune.

The Duskmane family was pushed even further into prestige when they supported King Genn Greymane’s building of the Greymane Wall, and even donated sizeable amounts of gold to its construction.

William’s RiseEdit

William spent much time studying and practicing politics and negotiating. It was something he genuinely enjoyed. However, Will appeared to have two sides to himself – one side that would debate and negotiate issues, and another side that would rush headfirst into physical combat if it could. Interestingly, this was something Will’s father, Timothy Duskmane, expected to happen. He explained to Will that before his family became aristocrats, they were fierce warriors. It is thought that the yearning for war and bloodshed forever runs in the Duskmane blood, and he explained that sometimes when politics fail, battle must follow. As such, Timothy hired an elite military trainer to teach young William the art of combat.

Will did the Duskmane family proud, being very active on the political scene in Gilneas at a very young age. At this point, the Greymane Wall was already constructed and sealed, and most of his political career was with internal affairs.

Curse of the WorgenEdit

Please note that this section is still under construction.

During the Third War, Archmage Arugal attempted to summon the extra-dimensional worgen to use as a weapon to combat the Scourge. Yet, Arugals weapon turned against him and the worgen began spreading a curse throughout the land. Southern Silverpine Forest became infested with them, taking control of the village of Pyrewood and Shadowfang Keep.

Somehow, the dreaded curse of the worgen was not halted by the Greymane Wall, and the nation of Gilneas became infected. The curse quickly escalated to pandemic levels, and the Gilneas were trapped in their own country. As the curse spread, the Duskmane family hired additional guards and reinforced the Duskmane Manor’s walls and they contributed quite a sum of gold to find a cure for the curse.

While not the first to become infected by the curse, the Duskmane family did quickly fall victim to it. Everyone in the Duskmane manor became infected, all at relatively the same time. A short skirmish occurred in the manor between family members and servants alike. Fortunately, none of the family members were killed, though they were wounded, some of them quite seriously. Several servants and guards were not so lucky however.

CataclysmEdit
