Zarindice

Basic Character Information

Biography

Life

Zarindice was born in Quel'thalas some hundred years ago. Upon reaching adulthood she became a high elf ranger. She spent most of her life guarding the forests that she called home. With the Horde attack on Quel'thalas during the Second War, Zarindice joined the Alliance for a short time to repel the invaders. At the end of the war she, like a majority of other high elves, withdrew from the Alliance, back to the forests of Quel'thalas.

The Third War brought the total destruction of her sacred forests of Quel'thalas at the hands of the Scourge. She managed to just barely survive the onslaught, and was rescued by a group of still living high elves. When a large portion of high elves became blood elves, Zarindice chose to remain a high elf, believing that succumbing to the arcane addiction that the rest of her people had was just as bad as falling to the Scourge. After some time however, the lure of magic became too great, and she succumbed to the arcane addiction, becoming a blood elf.

Zarindice participated during the Second Scourge Invasion, primarily fighting in the Eastern Plaguelands. Zarindice was struck down however while battling against the Scourge, when a well placed strike from a skeletal shocktrooper ended her life.

Undeath

In Service of the Lich King

Zarindice's body was recovered by the minions of the Scourge and brought aboard the Lich King's newest necropolis: Acherus: The Ebon Hold. The necromancers of Acherus reanimated her body, and finding her worthy, sent her to meet the dreaded Lich King himself. On her way to report to Instructor Razuvious, Zarindice met a fellow death knight initiate. A male blood elf, he introduced himself as Takuto. Zarindice was immediately irritated by the mere presence of the man. She didn’t know why Razuvious hadn’t given the order to kill him – the man seemed to have no understanding of his position as a death knight – nor did he seem to have an understanding of being dead; he was perfectly happy it seemed. Zarindice figured that he would get himself killed soon, so she pressed on with her business.

Reporting to Instructor Razuvious, Zarindice crafted her first runeblade, and silenced and unworthy death knight initiate. She then reported back to the Lich King, who allowed her to use the great Eye of Acherus to spy upon the Scarlet Crusaders. She soon reported to Death’s Breach, where she reported to Prince Valanar.

While at Death’s Breach, Zarindice fought five other Death knight initiates, winning against all of them. Zarindice also met up with Takuto again, and though she tried to keep away from him, she was often unsuccessful. She killed over twenty Scarlet Crusaders and citizens of New Avalon stole herself a horse, turning it into a deathcharger. Dozens of Scarlet miners fell before her, and many were turned into ghouls with the help of Gothik the Harvester, and retrieved many of the rare saronite arrows that the skeletal archers were shooting into the sky.

Prince Valanar had a plan that Zarindice played a major part in. Stowing away in a mine cart, a Scarlet miner unsuspectingly brought Zarindice behind enemy lines, directly onto one of the Scarlet ships. There, Zarindice, as well as Takuto, manned the ships cannons, and slaughtered the Scarlet forces. Zarindice lost it and killed approximately 300-400 members of the Crusade, although her objective was only to kill about 100 of them. Zarindice only fled the ship when her cannon was heavily damaged, and Takuto couldn’t hold of the crusaders any longer.

The Prince was very pleased and sent her back to the Highlord, who was proud of her actions. The merciless slaughter of the Scarlet forces had secured the Scourge’s victory at Death’s Breach.
