A Crow is a member of The Murder of Crows([1]) Guild. While any member of The Murder of Crows can be called a Crow, within the Murder, the lowest ranking guild members, known as Neophytes, are usually not accepted as a true Crow & called such until they earn promotion to the 2nd guild rank of Butcher. This is to indicate honor & acceptance to their efforts in gaining promotion.
