Minionman/Alliance

< Minionman

The original alliance was first formed to resist the Horde invasions in the second portal war. The Orcs at the time was a burning legion pawn, sent to destroy humanity. The destruction of Azeroth lead other humans nations, as well as the Dwarves and Gnomes of the Khaz mountains, to join together to fight this new threat. High Elves and Wildhammer dwarves joined soon afterwards. In the aftermath of the war, the alliance fell apart somewhat as an official group, but most of its members continued to trade freely and assist each other in dealing with threats.

During the scourge Invasion, a number of Lordaeran refugees left the eastern Kingdoms and travelled ot Kalimdor with Jaina Proudmore. There, they encountered the horde and Night Elves, and after initial fighting with both groups, worked with them to defeat the demonic invasion. In the Eastern Kingdoms, the scourge annihilation of Lordaeran unified the human, Dwarven, and Elf nations again, though the Elves were soon kicked out due to the bigotry of Garithos.

Disagreements and fighting over Grom Hellcream's legacy, and the attack by Admiral Proudmore, lead to relations with the Kalmidor horde breaking down. Increased trade and contact between the continents, though, lead to the Night Elves becoming more fully involved with the Eastern Alliance. The recent Draenei landing added the final member to the alliance, the Draenei were natural allies of their fellow Holy Light followers among the humans and dwarves, and for many, memories of Blood Elf and Horde attacks sealed this alliance.

The alliance as a whole tends to be more loosely organized than the horde, but does have far more people, and much less suspicion exists between its members.

Azeroth AllianceEdit

The Axeroth Alliance s made from members of the old alliance formed ot resist the Orc invasion. The members still feel strong loyalty towards each other, but political troubles have weakened cooperation between its members. The Dwarven regions produced the best metalwork known in Azeroth, while the human regions produce most of the food in the world. Straightfoward heroism is respected and looked up to, and the region remembers its heros from the second war. The militia tradition is also strong in this part of the world.

HumansEdit

The human nations cover much of Azeroth, and still make up much of its population, but the scourge and horde invasions have taken a serious toll in recent years. In addition to population loss, many skilled human leaders were killed in these wars, and the resulting political confusion and mismanagement has heavily weakened the human nations. Still, skilled militia leaders and lower level officials continue to keep the human nations alive, as they rebuild themselves, fend off threads, and regain the greatness they once enjoyed.

DwarvesEdit

The Ironforge dwarves have long been known as tough mountain dwellers, and highly skilled metalworkers. These qualities have continued into the present day, and the dwarves have recently added explorers to that collection. Current day dwarves remain loyal to their human allies, some now consider Ironforge the central driving force of the alliance, as it supports both its northern and southern neighbors with their troubles. Still, Ironforge has problems of its own, including dark iron attacks. The Wildhammer dwarves have also associated themselves with the alliance, even with their old Elven allies leaving it in large numbers. Wildhammers continue ot supply their allies with Gryphons, used for transportation and war.

GnomesEdit

The gnomes are oftne in the shadow of their dwarf and human allies, but their own inventiveness, skillswith machinery, and intelligence in other areas have proven invaluable to alliance efforts. Recently, many gnomes have been wiped out by an attack in Gnomeregan, and have been taken in by the dwarves. Many moved ot Ironforge, where they continue to work with their longtime alliaes, suppliying their unique abilities as they always have.

Kalimdor AllianceEdit

The Night Elves and Draenei are both ancient, highly developed cultures that recently have been joined the outside world. Members of both racesare extremely long lived, the Night Elves from their connection to nature and the powers of the world tree/well of eternity, the Draenei from their magical abilities and connection ot the Naaru's powers of the holy light. Tensions exist between calmer, more diplomatic and peace preferring members, and more aggressive members who remember the destruction caused to these societies by outside forces.

The Burning Legion has shaped both of these societies heavily, the Draenei have been chased by millennia by their corrupted version, the eredar, while the Night Elves have survived two demonic invasions, one brought on by their own mistakes in overusing magic. When disagreements with the Horde over events in the most recent demonic invasion turned to fighting, the Night Elves found themselves most closely associated with the Human alliance. When the draenei arrived on Azeroth and Landed near Night Elf lands, their common worship of the Holy Light, and memories of Blood elf and Horde attacks, made them natural additions to the alliance, and the Draenei and Night Elves have recently been establishing new Ashenvale settlements together.

The human nation of Theramore also closely associates with the Kalimdor alliance, but it is described in the Human section above.

Night ElvesEdit

The long lived, forest dwelling Night Elves are the main alliance component in Kalimdor. They have long lived in the forest of Ashenvale, and defend it vigorously. Much of Night Elf society is shaped by the demonic invasions from long ago.

DraeneiEdit

The Draenei are former Eredar who did not join the Burning legion, and were chased from world to world as a result. The Draenei had most recently settled on Draenor, but were than mostly destroyed by the orcs. More were killed in Draenor's destruction. After several Blood Elf attack, many Draenei finally decided to find a new world to leave and find a new world to settle. Sabotage lead to Azeroth as this world.

The Draenei are highly skilled in Healing and Magic. Their Narru technology also gives them power. The Draenei now hope to settle in Azeroth, and rebuild themselves to one day confront the Burning Legion.
