Minionman/Horde
< Minionman
The horde is composed of a group of 5 races: The Kalimdor orcs, Darkspear trolls, Tauren, Forsaken, and Blood Elves, as well as some minor allies. The current version of the horde is a recent alliance of races that has almost been wiped out, brought together by the orcs. The Tauren and Trolls shared similar cultural characteristics with the orcs, and joined with the orcs during Thrall's travels to Kalimdor to find his race's destiny. The forsaken joined around a year after Hyjal, to fight the forsaken and orc's common human enemies. The Blood Elves have officially joined only recently, but through their close cooperation with the forsaken have interacted extensively with other horde members for several years after their reconquering and Quel'thalas.
What started as several mistrustful alliances between the Kalimdor horde, the Forsaken, and the Blood Elves has turned into a highly cooperative and organized alliance. Even if most of the fighting in a particular area is done by just one or two sub factions, advisors and adventurers are routinely found assisting from other factions. The different subgroups also have very different peacetime/economic skills, and large amounts of trade takes place between the factions, assisted by a zeppelin and teleportation network.
Soldier for Soldier, the horde is on average more powerful than the alliance, and more powerful than most groups they fight against, and are often better organized as well. However, the Horde populations are far lower than the alliance, and many of the factions they fight against as well. The horde must use it's superior organization, training, well built equipment, and natural strengths to overcome the numbers disadvantage.

They share a shamanistic culture, and have made a life for themselves in Kalimdor after capturing land from previous centaur and quillboar inhabitants. The nations of Durotar and Thunder bluff are centered on a dry area known as the Barrens, once the home of large amounts of centaurs and Quillboar, as well as nomadic Tauren groups.

Lordaeran Horde
Edit
The two societies of the Lordaeran horde have been heavily shaped by the scourge invasion. The forsaken broke away from the scourge, and most of its members were victims of the scourge plague and invasion. The Blood Elve's Sunwell was corrupted and ruined by the scourge, and much of the Elves were killed in the invasion. Both groups have had to recapture their lands from the scourge as well.
To survive a war against a far, far more numerous foe, the Blood Elves and Forsaken have turned to somewhat evil methods, and gone down paths that other societies avoid, exploiting any advantage they can use. The forsaken experiment with poisons, using them regularly in combat, and are even developing a plague similar to the of the scourge. The blood Elves use magic from just about any source available, including a captured Naaru. Life in these societies is intense, Blood Elf soldiers train for weeks on end with little sleep or food, while fighting a magical addiction, while forsaken use their lack of required sleep to work and fight nearly every hour of every day.
Forsaken
Edit
The forsaken are undead freed by the scourge, or raised from graves in Lordaeran and the Plaguelands. They have taken control of the Tirisfal Glades, and fight a constant war against the scourge and scarlet crusade, among other enemies.
