After The Second War Montronax moved with his father to the city of Gnomeregan because his father was working on some very promising engineering devices. During his short stay in Gnomeregan Montronax met a gnome girl named Landa who, despite her innocent apparance, dabbled in demonic magic trying to find the path of the warlock.
