Kath'ranis met his wife Aelinda in Silvermoon. Together they got married and had three children; Varedis, Kar'ganis and Nairb. They also raised Aelinda's neice, Malicia. Kath'ranis fought against the Scourge in Silvermoon. Alas, he fell and became a Death Knight so his sons could survive. Around 8-15 years later, he was freed and died. However Nairb took 1 one Kael'thas' Vials of the Well Of Eternity and Anesterian's skull to create a new Sunwell. Kath'ranis and Varedis' bodies were thrown into the Sunwell and they were reborn.
