Physical description: Hakai is of an average height for a human, however due to his constant work on all sorts of gadgets and machinery he has an extremely bulky physique. He lets his hair grow out, as is the custom of his family and their ancestors, which originally hail from the South Seas and explains his awkward tans. He can be often seen wearing just about anything that will fit him as many garments dont last long before they are covered in oil or other machinery lubricants. He also upkeeps a fine goatee, which somehow manages to escape the fate of his workclothes, every time.
Personality: Hakai is labeled insane by much of his race, however he gets along perfectly fine with the Gnomes. A very trustworthy and dedicated sort, he will not hesitate to lend a hand in anything he may be of help in. Whether his help is required or not, is a different story. He will assist anyway. His biggest character trait, beyond all means is his complete randomness and attention span. If something deals with anything other than schematics, blueprints or some sort of technology of any kind, his attention span can be near to nothing. He also has a small form of an anger problem, though he has it under control, it can catch a lot of people off guard when he chooses to showcase it. Otherwise he seems to be your average, run-of-the-mill, happy-go-lucky loon with a grim sense of humor.
Special Possessions: His pet chicken, Kato, and a multitude of gadgets, including his own unique invention... the D.I.S.C.O. ((Dancer's Integrated Sonic Celebration Oscilator))
Goals & Motivators: Hakai's motivators are almost always in question, even by himself. However, with the recent event of a vision he had from something that calls itself Cragskaar, he now has something to work towards.
Battle Tactics: Battle is one thing that Hakai is very talented in but tries to avoid talking about if possible. There is a warrior spirit within him that he desperately tries to keep dormant... up till the moment of battle itself. When it is certain that conflict is inevitable, Hakai removes all walls and limitations of his personality. Somehow able to remain calm among his friends and compatriots yet overbearingly brutal towards his opponents, Hakai's battle persona can be a bit unnerving. He knows this and tries to cover it up at times with some quickly improvised comedy. Suppressing his rage can be a difficult fight for the young man, but no one around him is any the wiser.
Hakai Urei Kormyou. The "Silent Boom". Salesman for I.I.Inc. (Insane Inventors Incorporated). Prodigy in engineering, student of war. Lover of chickens...
Many things can describe this oddball of a person who was born in Northdale. But one thing stands out the most: his excessively overbearing personality.
Hakai was the first born child of Kenshin and Haruka Kormyou who hailed from a small cluster of islands in the South Seas. His father was an engineer of marine technology and shortly after moving to Northdale, decided to relocate once again to work with the Gnomes of Gnomeregan. Growing up around all sorts of clockwork wonders, Hakai became infatuated with creating the next big trend in technology. Always lending a helping hand in the machine shops scattered around the mechanical metropolis, Hakai became a jack-of-all-trades when it came to technical know how. Year after year he built his reputation up, along with his ego, only to have it crushed by defeat later on. It seemed as though the only inventions that he created that anyone cared for, were the ones that brought destruction, not merriment or everyday usefullness.
At the age of 19, Hakai began to travel the world to learn anything and everything he could in hopes that it could be made smaller, bigger, more effecient or... downright pointless. Coining the phrases, "Gnome technology goes zoom! Goblin technology goes BOOM!" and "Katooey!", Hakai was dismissed mutltiple times as a crackpot. However, one person he met during this era in his life took him seriously. Admiral Daelin Proudmoore, the father of the famed Jaina Proudmoore, saw the true potential that the boy held in a random encounter on a trip to Booty Bay. Only a few months had passed, and Hakai had completely redesigned the engines used by both the Gnome gyrocoptors and the Dwarven aeroplanes. For his assistance with military purposes, Proudmoore funded Hakai's other ideas as well. Soon enough, there were automated constructs plowing the fields of Westfall for the local farmers that harvest season. Fame is not garnered in Azeroth that easily though, as Hakai went unrecognized for those contributions. Setting back out on the path of making a name for himself without anyone's help, he resumed his search for the "best idea ever".
The events of the Third War took place while he was making his route home to Gnomeregan. Hakai lived completely oblivious to the problems of the world and as such, tended to brighten the days of those he met who had lost hope in such dark times. It was in this that he found his true calling. He found great delight in making people smile so much... he decided to make his next invention something that could do just that. But what was he on to?
I have been playing WoW since December 11th, 2004 and have been a diehard fan of the Warcraft story since Warcraft: Orcs and Humans was released in 1994. In the free time I have when I am not in the game on Nay or one of my other few characters, I enjoy participating in Martial Arts (I am a student of 13 years in Chin-ryu Shotokan), writing my own fantasy novel series (which I will have published when I have the funds to do so >.>), watching anime and hanging out with friends. My game schedule is difficult to explain since my real life career has an alternating shift. I am also the chairman of an Asian-lifestyles non-profit organization. I am a steadfast follower of Bushido and I consider myself an easy person to get along with. Scary enough as it is, I go by the name Hakai Urei Kormyou in real life. It is a taken name, not my birth name, and it translates to "Song of the Soul that destroys all sorrow".
The Lore of Warcraft is by far my favorite story overall. There is just so much in it that has been lifted from human history or popular culture meanwhile keeping it unique and enjoyable. I believe myself to be fairly educated in the lore of Warcraft and I do my best to create unique characters that fit within the confines of that lore. Feel free to comment on Kormyou, I love feedback. Now for some tags that made me laugh, yet are true about me :P
