No Animals Were Hurt
In The Making Of This Meal
I can't tell you the number of times I have heard someone in chat complaining
about "fishing is boring" or "man I don't want to farm mats to level cooking"
and to be quite honest, none of us play WOW to become farmers. There are
a number of guides out there that are really good about leveling everything
under the sun. Most of the cooking guides tell you to "pick up fishing, it
will go faster", but fall short in the fact that they don't tell you how.
I hope to change that here and now. Through this guide you will be able to
level both cooking and fishing, and never have to chop, bludgeon, stab, torch,
freeze, or strangle a single defenseless furry creature (anyway fish are
slimy and smelly, but good eats). Throughout this guide, I will give aproximate
numbers of fish you need to level on each recipe. You will be cooking into
yellow on some recipes, so the number will not be exact, although I built
in some buffer, so you should be fine. As well, your fishing level should
keep aproximate pace with your cooking level, however id you see fishing
lagging behind, (need it be said) just fish a little more. I also included
links to fishing maps for your convenience.

Level 376-400
Now things are just a little different. This part cannot be done with fish. Ok I know you are thinking "Hey, You jerk!!! You Said I Wouldn't Get Animal Blood On My Hands And Conscience!!!" Don't get your P.I.T.A. panties in a bunch. Sit back and take a sigh of relief. We are gonna be brewers for few levels. No animals, just fruit. To start, there is a 3 part quest line that we must do starting at the Nessingwary Base camp in Sholazar Basin.
Next we get to go to Dalaran and talk to an old Washed Up Mage for the quest Fletcher's Lost and Found. Completeing this quest gives us the recipe for Kungaloosh. By the way, the recipe is written on the mages arm hic*. We will do this recipe until level 400. It uses Tundra Berries and Savory Snowplum which you can purchas from barmaids and fruit vendors all over Dalaran. It turns green at 387 so it may take many. Okay, now we can go back to the fish.
Level 400-450
At this point you must do Dalaran cooking dailies because all recipes 400
and up must be purchased with Dalaran Cooking Awards. Cooking dailies for
Alliance start with
Katherine Lee <Dalaran>, and Horde starts with
Awilo Lon'gomba <Dalaran>.
There are a ton of recipes to be purchased here and you may choose one that
suits the fish in the area of Northrend you are questing in. Yes, alot with
fish which will take us to the ultimte recipe Fish Feast which you can make
at 450.
Enjoy
