From WoWWiki
So, you just registered on WoWWiki, after months of anonymous reading, because you realised you actually had something to add. Congratulations! Now what? You could keep browsing, hoping to stumble across something to do. Or, you could start pimping your userpage! But what can you do, except writing a little about yourself and your gaming life? Well, here's a little of what you can add:
User templates
For a list of all user templates, see WoWWiki:List of user templates
While you could just write this about yourself, a big wall of text gets kind of boring, and people may not read it. But if you use some of these, they will draw the attention of whoever is reading towards them. They are your shiny badges!
| This user plays as a Mage.
|
| This user plays as a Druid.
|
| This user plays as a Miner.
|
As you can see, these templates tell something basic about you, your in-game race, class and professions. But that's not the only kind of templates!
| This user earned the title Grunt in the old PvP title system.
|
| This user's character has cleared Karazhan.
|
| This user plays on the American Deathwing server.
|
One template can say more than a thousand words! And if you've said everything serious you can say about yourself, you can add some silly templates too!
If you have many templates, they can clutter up your pages. That's when you want to use {{Skills-top}} to organize them neatly on the right side of your page.
ArmoryProfileBot
DarkRyder has created an amazing bot which will let you show of your characters (with stats, professions and more) in a box that updates automatically every day! See his page or the bot's page for more info.
Demo
Infobox PC
{{Infobox PC}} is a neat little box which you can use to show of your character with stats, profession and image. Unlike APB, this must be manually updated.
Paperdoll
{{Paperdoll}} is kind of similar to Infobox PC, but with this, you can also show of your gear. Also manually updtaed.
